Answer:	connecting aluminum to brass causes galvanic corrosion. i don't see a warning on the front of the package, and it's a hard-earned lesson. Good luck trying to get satisfaction. DISCONNECT aluminum from brass a few times a year to prevent.

Question:	Is this ok for potable water
Answer:	The liner in this hose is polyurethane and is NSF61 approved, which is the standard for potable hose. However, that approval only extends to the liner, the brass fittings on this hose aren't any type of special potable brass fittings. I would probably not suggest using this as a potable hose.
Question:	Why not use for garden hose
Answer:	Most folks for residential use don't deploy the entirety of the hose (and in a mostly straight line) prior to pressurizing the hose and that causes it to kink. The hose is already partially prone to kinking, so we find that it's easier to steer people to actual garden hose instead of these. Another thing to consider on this hose is that it sacrifices durability for being lightweight, since forestry employees have to lug the hose around. So if you a do a lot of dragging with this hose (especially across your street/driveway) it won't last very long. Hope this helps!
