Answer:	I wouldn't describe it as glossy... it's kind of the same finish that most caulk has. I wouldn't let that stop you buying it. This is the best caulk I've ever used. It's a little tricky to work with and you have to work fast because it's so tacky. Water just beads up on contact with it. It's definitely a waterproof seal. I'm buying more to do another job because I was so impressed. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. We recommend using the 10.1 oz tube for your tub to be sure you have enough. One 10.1 ounce tube is enough to caulk two bathtubs and one sink. The squeeze tube is only 2.8 oz..

Answer:	It should be enough, if you put a nice, unified layers all across the cracks. It depends how big the cracks are!! if is just for touch up it is plenty. But I would say 1 tube is enough for the job.

Answer:	To remove old caulk, I used a razor. Recommend ordering a razor holder found on Amazon. It's about 5" long, razor is screwed into place and it comes with extra blades. Much better than the plastic widget. Gently but firmly slide razor along top of old caulk, then repeat along the bottom of caulk to remove it. This was the easiest method for me. Ensure the surface is clean and free of debris. Spray and wipe with non ammonia window cleaner. Use gloved finger to smooth into sealant line. Best to watch a few videos if you aren't a pro. I watched a utube video.

Answer:	While this product will make stone and grout resistant to water and oil stains, it will not make the product waterproof.

Answer:	We are not aware of a good Stone or granite sealer on the market that utilizes silicone as an additive. Bulletproof is a great product for honed granite.

Answer:	I used two products a cleaner http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00065W8DQ/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this and my tables came out with a nice clean and natural shine. By natural I am not talking reflective of light, a shine similiar to the way a stone looks when you take it out of the water. The two products really made my tables beautiful without making the stone look fake and laminated. If you are truly wanting a gloss, I would agree that you might need a professional to come and seal it with something that will have that high shine. However for the price you could always try this first, if you have granite or stone stuff other areas of the house you can always use this there :)

Answer:	Marble life granite or marble cleaner, it is safe on all stones, all metal, paint, wood, great for cleaning up grease with great oil emulsifiers, developed by Union Carbide over 20 years ago. available on Amazon

Answer:	For quartz, I would recommend the Stainproof Plus. This sealer will actually penetrate quartz which is non-pourus while other sealers will not. Most quartz manufacturers advertise that quartz does not need to be sealed but we have seen some quartz products that do in fact stain. Some more than others.
Question:	How much area does it cover? How many linear feet of grout does it cover
Answer:	Depending on what you are sealing, the average coverage on a typical seal is 70sqft. Per quart.On grout sealing, again depending on the size and depth of the grout joint, we've gotten about 250 sqft out of 1 quart.
Question:	Does it work on travertine? I didn't see travertine listed on the stones it's made for
Answer:	Sorry but my experience is not good. I spent 2 days properly applying 2 coats to travertine tiles around our pool. The protection lasted for about 8 weeks only. Very disappointed. I think Stain Proof is a big waste of money and as others have said the company do not stand behind their products. Never again!

Answer:	I don't know. Likely not if the color isn't on the surface. Test it on a small area.

Answer:	I don’t think this product is supposed to create an impenetrable seal that water can’t get into. My understanding is it’s supposed to protect it from stains not seal it totally. I could be wrong though.
Question:	How do I use this on granite
Answer:	You just pour on the counter top evenly, wait 5 to 10 minutes and then wipe off with a clean towel or microfiber cloth. If you want extra protection you can apply twice.
Question:	can this be used on grout that has been painted with grout re-color
Answer:	No. If your grout has been painted with a color seal it will not need to be sealed with any grout sealer. Grout color seals put a thin layer of "paint" on top of the grout that will not allow clear penetrating sealer to soak into the grout.

Question:	does it work on marble tiles grout
Answer:	I am not sure, I'd see what the instructions say or contact the manufacture. I used it on a standard mixture tile grout and it worked great.
Question:	Does it work on silicone caulk
Answer:	Silicone caulk is not paintable so this product would likely not work on it.

Answer:	Nope. It looked beautiful until I put a sealer over it. (I should have searched for "sealer" before I even bought it. :-( ) Don't waste your money.
Question:	Is this product waterproof or will it wash away if I apply it to the shower floor tiles? tia
Answer:	I have used it on 'wet areas' such as around the basin and also the tiles above the sink with no problems. Just made sure the areas were dry first and then after applying let it dry and also used a small heater placed about 1.5M away from it to 'bake' it in for an hour. Still looks white and new. Haven't used it on shower floor tiles though!

Answer:	My experience with the StoneTech products is they don't seal anything. Very expensive, tried different products and none worked.

Answer:	1) Yes let it set for 5 minutes they wipe off....2) Hardly any noticeable smell...its water soluble so it really does not have any long lasting odor...
Question:	About how many square feet of will this cover? I understand it depends on the tile size and the actual amount of grout
Answer:	We have 20x20 tile on about 1200 sq. ft. in our new house. Two applications on ours and two applications on our neighbor's (same size) with about 1/3 left. So 6000 sq. ft. of tile coverage or more on this size of tile. It will depend on tile size with smaller tiles having more grout but it works great and it's fairly easy to apply....I used a roller applicator.

Question:	can i use it for polished porcelain tile grout
Answer:	This is a water based sealer and it works well with porous types of tiles. Not so sure if it would penetrate a polished surface.As I recall on the I don't believe it is recommended for food preparation surfaces.
Question:	How does this compare to the Miracle Sealants 511 solvent based sealer
Answer:	Travertine is quite porous-If it has been awhile since it was previously sealed, i would say it should work--but as with anything, I'd try on an in conspicuous area 1st.
Question:	Isn't this water-based grout sealer? Mapei's product information says Mapei Ultracare grout sealer is water-based
Answer:	It's a sealer with a gloss finish. I'm not sure what you're using it on, but it's meant for absorptive surfaces like rough stone and grout. It's not meant for an already sealed surface or a very smooth surface like granite. Be careful not to let water sit on it for too long. If water sits on the finish, it gets kind of soft and milky. I used it on the slate tile backsplash of our kitchen and it worked perfectly.

Answer:	After a few minutes wipe off excess with dry cotton towel. If you miss any (like if it dries on polished porcelain tile) you can spray some sealer on it again and wipe it all off. Cleans up nicely.

1. Prepare Surface

Thoroughly clean surfaces and remove any coatings or residue. For tough build-up, Miracle Sealants Miracle Heavy Duty Cleaner Acid Substitute is recommended.

2. Apply Sealer to Dry Surface

In a well ventilated area, use either Miracle Sealant Mira Brush applicator or a clean, lint-free cloth to apply enough sealer to wet the surface. Allow to stand for 3-5 minutes for full penetration.

3. Wipe Excess and Buff

After no more than 5 minutes, remove excess liquid and buff surface with a lint-free cloth. Do not allow sealer to dry on the surface.

Allow to Cure

Allow to dry 3-5 hours, until dry to the touch, before light foot traffic. For best results, keep treated areas dry and free from staining agents for 72 hours.
