Question:	How long is the laser line it creates
Answer:	No experience with the red laser although I do believe the green beam would probably be brighter and thats why I paid extra for it. Its very bright indoors but outside was only visible to about 15-20 feet. The detector picked up the beam easily out to 75 feet, not sure how far away it will work as that took care of my need. Note: The red detector is not compatible with green laser. Have found it to be very helpful for a variety of jobs inside and out. Good Luck

Answer:	I have only had these a few months - the mfgr claims they will last 10 yrs - so the shelf life would also be 10yrs

Answer:	It can not detect regular recorder.
Question:	Does it have a vertical laser pointer
Answer:	This device will alert you to the RF being produced by a cell phone, so yes it will DETECT a cell phone however it will not find it for you. Alternatively, this detection can be any number of electronic devices producing a RF signal. I hope this helps.
Question:	Is the included "contractor's bag" large enough to also store the tripod and the rod
Answer:	Yes, if the microphone is coupled to a radio broadcaster (standard fare for "spy shop" style bugs). It will not detect a microphone that is powered off or otherwise not coupled to a radio transmitter.If there is a hidden microphone which is transmitting over radio frequencies, it should be trivial to detect with this device. On the other hand, your laptop mic could be recording audio to the hard drive, or a cell phone could be set up to record audio - and they would not be detected. There aren't really a lot of easy ways to detect microphones that aren't hooked up to some sort of transmitter - certainly not one that costs under $20.Anyway, the device does two things: detects radio signals, and allows a human operator to easily recognize camera lenses. Just those things, nothing more.
