But one sensor is crossing over to one of the sensors downstairs. The other sensor is okay because it's in the room only a few feet away and the readout from it is fine. The downstairs unit has a sensor on our back porch and that readout is fine. But the other readout is registering from my sensor upstairs. So, yes it's confusing and we haven't figured out a way to keep them all separated....................

Answer:	There were directions with my units. There is a switch on the home unit what says channel 1-3. Your sensor will be one of those. You have to put the outdoor unit near the home unit in order for them to pair initially. I will have to say that with my unit, the batteries that can’t with it did not last very long, but once I put in some good quality batteries, it has worked very well. I did have to re-pair when I put new batteries in, but it did so pretty quickly.

Question:	What is the thickness measurement of the outdoor sensor? I live in an apartment and must place it between a window and a screen
Answer:	Here are the measurements: 3/4" (at 'hanger' end) to 5/8" thick (main body of sensor). it is 5" high and 1.5' wide. It would certainly fit between the window and the screen; however, my husband says you may not get a true temperature reading because it would pick up the heat from the window even though it is outside. Can you put it on the window sill on the outside of the screen? That is where I have ours and it works fine. Has not fallen off our brick window sill even though it is slightly slanted. Hope this helps....

Question:	does it work in very cold weather, negative degrees
Answer:	We live in Texas. It was fine for 4 years until our first cold front came in 2 weeks ago. We went down to 60 F when the sensor stopped working. I ordered a new sensor with amazon. That one stopped working after 3 days when the next cold front came in at 55 F. What a terrible waste of money. I'll be calling La Crosse on Monday.

RESISTANCE/DISTANCE: obstructions (such as: walls, windows) can reduce range; Any metal can cause interference so check -Proper distance (can range up to 330ft in open air)

RESTART:

1. Have display and outdoor sensor units at least 5 feet apart with nothing between them.

Recommend: brand-name, standard alkaline batteries (expiration date: 7 years ahead of current year, or tested 1.48v on voltmeter) TIP: Avoid rechargeable or lithium batteries in display

2. Remove all batteries from both display and sensor(s)

3. Press any button to completely discharge residual electricity. Leave batteries out for 10 minutes (both sensor & display)

4. Check correct polarity install batteries first into sensor. Then, install new batteries into display. Leave units within 5 ft (no obstructions) for 15 mins for good connection.

Answer:	Yes, you can mount it to wall with a small nail. There is a small opening in back to hang it and it has a hinge to open and sit it on a desk or counter.

Answer:	We use rechargeable batteries so we are not buying batteries (and contributing to waste) all that often. I find the outdoor unit battery life depends on the temps; if it is cold the battery life is a bit shorter, if warm the battery life is longer. Cannot accurately give a length of time for battery life outdoors as our rechargeable batteries have been used for over 2 years and are just not beginning to show wear and not holding their charge as long. Even rechargeable batteries need to be replaced eventually. Indoor battery life is excellent, several months to one year

Answer:	Celsius/Centigrade was/is important to me. I purchased this unit based on response from capt.tomUnfortunately, the ACURITE 00782 unit that I received does *NOT* support celsius. :(The AcuRite 00782 that I received does *NOT* support Centigrade :(

Question:	Barometric pressure reads 5 inHg too low. Anyone else have this issue? Unit defective
Answer:	I want to return mine also because the temperature consistently reads higher than true temperature. I am disappointed with this purchase because I have had other Thermpro items that were fine. They have not answered my emails. I have no way to check the pressure against the unit so I cant answer your question, but temperature has never been correct.
Question:	Can I get the information to my smartphone from this system
Answer:	No; it is a very basic system without any network capabilities.
Question:	Does this work with the thermopro tx-4 or thermopro tx-2 sensors
Answer:	Neither. This requires the 915MHz TX-4B sensor, which are not yet available. From ThermoPro customer service in late November: "Unfortunately, you will need the TX4B sensors which are currently unavailable, we expect to have them available towards the end of December."

Answer:	I purchased it as a gift for my uncle. He lives in Wisconsin (I'm assuming this would count as a colder climate.. :D )He said it is working well! It's been installed for about a month.
Question:	How does this unit compare in accuracy to known temperatures from other sources
Answer:	I have one for my front yard and the weather station for my backyard. I have changed the sensors around to check the temps and they were within .2° Fahrenheit accuracy. There can be as much as 3° to 5°F difference from the front yard to the backyard. The backyard is on a lake with a big oak tree. The front yard is a street and a driveway with small trees. Both are placed in the shade.

Answer:	The indoor unit has sensor built in. No additional sensor is required.
Question:	What type of batteries and how many for each? How often do you have to change the batteries

Answer:	Both the sensor and the weather station have batteries. No alarm on this one. Maybe others have one. I love it. Mine was a present from my kids last Christmas. I told my best friend about it, he was amazed. So I bought him one for his birthday. He loves his too. Would highly recommend this for everyone!

Answer:	Two separate units can operate together by selecting different channels for each but only one sensor is allowed per unit
Question:	Is the operational manual worth the paper it is written on. I bought a Meade weather station and could never figure out how to get the time to work
Answer:	the time is automatically set. It has what is called an inteli time (Not exactly sure that's what its called) feature that automatically sets the time date and daylight savings time. But if it does not work for some reason, the manual is easy to understand. I fact I have other products I got regarding weather are from acurite. Two stations and a weather radio, all easy to read manuals, including this station. Actually I did not even need to read the manual half the time. The station is easy enough to set up its essentially effortless. Unless you are trying to find a proper place for the sensor. But overall its easy understanding manual to read and easy to set up the station. I doubt you will have problems with the time. If you do I will be surprised, this station despite how cheap it is not bad. Mine has been surviving for 4 months in a tree outside my house, no issues. Also the indoor display is rather accurate. The station itself is actually designed to become more accurate the more you use it. So it may be inaccurate the first couple of days but after awhile it gets the forecast rather good.

Question:	How long do the batteries last
Answer:	Assuming basic, alkaline batteries, performance depends very much on temperature. Below about 10 Celsius (50F) capacity begins to drop off. My experience is batteries will last about 5 weeks if the temperature stays above freezing. Sensor position matters too. My sensor is about 12 meters from the receiver, and the signal has to pass through 5 wood frame walls.
