Answer:	The immersion part is really quite amazing. Lots of power and yet very good control. The other pieces are sort of nice to have when you don't feel like pulling out the big food processor or your hand mixer.

Answer:	It can crush ice but nit very well. You need a lot of horse power for that kind of thing and this isn't really designed for that kind of thing. You have to move plunge, move plunge, and its just not practical besides the possibly burning out the motor. A blender is a much better appliance for crushing ice.

Answer:	Instead of the immersion blender, I use the whisk attachment instead and blend peanut butter right in the jar. The whisk is slightly flexible, so I’m able to get the sides and very bottom as well. Works great! Just need to hold the jar tightly with the other hand, otherwise the jar will go spinning off.

Answer:	A high quality product. I have not made milkshakes, however I am sure they would work well with this product. I use it mainly for cream soups and it does an excellent job, smooth, creamy and no splashing.

Answer:	If you scrape the metal bell which surrounds the blade it could damage a Teflon coating. If you're careful and avoid touching the Teflon while moving the blender around it's fine. For mashing potatoes Braun has made an attachment that fits a different model of blender which works well. The standard set up you see here works but nor great. The difference is that the potatoe mashing attachment has a much wider base, the blades are wider and it’s made so that the top of above the blades is flat and has holes where the potatoes are pressed through and out of the attachment. Answer:	The plastic just above the whisk/beater, has cracked on both of mine. Not the plastic that is inserted into the mixer, but the plastic that holds the whisk together. Very strange that they would plastic in a high stress area like that. After months, I have finally found that they can only be ordered through a company called Encompass. I like the mixer, but what a struggle to find anyone to help with a parts purchase.

Answer:	In short fabulous. I have the older version of this and have used for 20 years. This newer version wasn't made in US for quite some time, and so I bought this to always have one if current one breaks. The key to Braun's multi quick is that the power wand is 400 Watts. Better than any other on market. I use the stainless steel wand directly in my pots when making soup. When I've pureed, I hold it under hot water to clean and air dry. I did buy the wall "stand" that holds the "wand" and the egg beater unit.
