3 Different Working Modes to Meet Your Multiple Needs:

Keep On Mode: Turn to keep on mode and the light will light up not only in dark condition, but also in daytime.

Motion Sensing Mode: Turn to auto mode, when the motion was detected in darkness the LED night light will light up for 30s. And it will shut off if when no further motion was detected.

Off Mode: Turn to off mod the light will shut off.

Question:	The shape is round, so I wonder can it stand on the ground on its side by itself
Answer:	Press the button down until the red light is not illuminated. That turns it to sensor mode. I had the same issue and batteries died in about 4 days
