Troubleshooting steps : During initial warm-up of your Lava Lamp, the coil in the globe may tend to stand on end or float to the top of the globe. If this happens, keep your Lava Lamp operating for four-hours or more to allow the secret solution to become completely melted. The coil should then automatically drop to its correct position at the bottom of the globe. If the coil does not drop down, then twirl the globe GENTLY in the base and the coil will drop. Do not shake and handle with care!

Question:	nd time running the lamp and all the wax started making this path to the top and not really doing what it normally would. 2 hours later the liquid level dropped and the wax is still stuck in this long glob at the top that extends to the bottom. It appears that the wax solidified abnormally and possibly air has gotten
Answer:	Mine did the same thing on the second time running. I called the manufacturer. They said run it 3-4 hours a night for 3 nights. If the same, let cool and turn bottle like you turn a doorknob, to the right and then back to center. Turn on again. Now the wax moved into the long glob and came down and just sits in a ball, waiting to flow upward. I called again, they said run it 10 hours a day for 3 days--if no change, call and they will mail a new one--no need to return old one. I will begin the 10 hour run tonight(1/2/15) and post an update. It also is no longer handled by Amazon, temporarily. Better off calling LavaLamp.com-1-800-336-5282. 8-5 cst.
Question:	What color is the lava really, some pics show yellow and some are showing green
Answer:	If you recall your grade school art class, Yellow + Blue = Green. The wax is yellow but appears green at times through the blue water.

Answer:	no, maybe you can exchange item or get money back. I did not have problems with mine being crooked.
Question:	Can you keep it on all the time
Answer:	I keep mine on 24/7 and they tend to last about a year before they start dying - some a little more, some a little less. Each one is different, and has its own personality, truth be known. For best results, the 8 hours a day rule should be observed, but if you don't mind buying a new one every year you can run them all the time. You can also regulate their movement using aluminum foil ring inserts over the bulbs (thereby adjusting the heat). Loads of fun!!!

Answer:	It has a 25 watt light bulb and it does get hot. That is what melts the wax and makes it work. Put a ceramic coaster under it to protect your table.

Answer:	Not sure about ul listing, I've had these over a year and long sense discarded the box and materials they came in. They have caused no problems, have proven reliable, and I will purchase more for the garage and stand up crawl space under the house.

Answer:	It shuts off after 20 seconds. These lights are fantastic, I have them in every room in the house and will purchase more. You can also adjust the amount of light with a slide switch. There is an on switch which keeps them on all the time, off, and auto which shuts the off in 20 seconds of non activity.

Answer:	No, it's not supposed to be cloudy. According the support team at Lava Lite, it means the wax inside was heated, then the globe moved. It MAY clear on its own, but it may not. If it came cloudy, Amazon will replace it.

Answer:	There are a few things you could do to help yourself in this case. One is possibly the dumbest thing but totally true. Just wait longer. It may take many hours the first time heating up. Really getting a good flow is one of those things that actually require the lamp and the wax to break in slightly. The glob you may be referring to may also be what's known as a 'Bulbing' when the wax looks like a light bulb at the bottom, at that point you should also have some at the top under the metal cap. If that's the case, then you're still in the warming phase, so waiting may be needed.There is also one other thing that may be true. If you are in a climate that is too cool for the lamp to ever reach it's necessary temperature it will never flow because it will never get warm enough. With Air Conditioning or a fan blowing on it you may be cooling the glass enough to keep it from working. If this is the case, try wrapping some aluminum foil around it, a couple layers thick, and let it run for 4 or so hours, take the foil off and observe. If it's flowing with the foil on, you're running into a heat thing. Good luck with this issue.Reference is about 30 lamps owned and over 10 personally made.

Answer:	I don't know if there is a specific age recommendation, but I would say any child that is old enough to know that it isn't a play thing. It is meant to sit on a piece of furniture, inside, and is not meant to be handled roughly. It is fun to look at, but it is definitely not meant for children under 3. My 10 year old bought it and loves it.

Answer:	The silver top and bottom I think are plastic but painted silver. It's a hard plastic, not flimsy. The part that contains the liquid is glass.

Question:	How well does this work as a night light? Too bright? I guess I could always just get a darker light bulb too right
Answer:	It's not to bright to me not sure how well another bulb would work but I guess as long as you have the correct wattage it be ok
Question:	Has anyone else had issues with this changing colors? Mine has very little pink or blue now but a lot of orange and I do not like orange at all
Answer:	I haven't had a problem with mine. It still has beautiful coloration. I have had it since spring of 2020.
Question:	What's the bulb type for replacing
Answer:	It's a small 25 watt but we haven't had to replace it yet.

Answer:	Yes I got one from Walmart $2.98 for a 2 pack. Their great value brand
Question:	How well does it flow
Answer:	Not all lava lamps are alike - some flow better than others, and I don't know why - either you get a good one or you don't. Once I turn mine on it takes about 15 - 20 minutes for some lava action to begin - and it starts with a column of semi-lucid lava rising from the floor of the jar - forming a sort of stalagmite. A few minutes later the lava has heated up a bit more, and begins 'erupting' from the bottom in different sized chunks that slowly wind and twist their way up to the top of the fluid, where it stays for a few moments as it cools and then begins its descent down to the bottom, to be reheated again, rising to the top in a different sized chunk. This continues for a few hours (all lamps are a bit different) ... then it loses it's mobility and kind of sits there. That's a sign to turn it off and let it sit for a few hours and cool off. When you get a good lamp - it's very cool to watch.

Question:	does the "lava" flow fluently and how long does it to heat up
Answer:	For me it was very fluid at first, and it took about 30 minutes to get there; however, it was cloudy so I have been letting it sit still for quite a long time, so I'm not sure how long it will take to heat up now, but the water is very very clear, which I hope stays that way when run it again.
Question:	Can i get the lava lamp bottle only
Answer:	I don't know - maybe from some other seller, but we are selling it only together, as one piece.

Question:	Does it comes bulbs ir do i need to buy those seperately
Answer:	Yes. Believe it or not when this is turned on, there is something circulating the glitter as it’s illuminated. I love mine. I had another one similar that was battery powered and that did not circulate the glitter like this model does when plugged in. Creates nice subtle light effects on the walls and ceilings (except for red color)
