Answer:	On mine they do not. Since they cut so well (very sharp blades), they don't require alot of pressure on the handle to make the clip. Nails flying out the sides is more of a thing from cheap clippers - since so much pressure is required to cut through the nail (due to duller blades), the clippings fly everywhere as a result. Answer:	Hi Gale, I wouldn't use the Mac for anything else while capturing, but when converting it should be fine to use your Mac for other things. A lot depends on the speed of your Mac & you don't want to drop frames while capturing.

Answer:	Hi, it will be fine. My own Mac is 2009 model iMac running El Capitan.

Answer:	It's not going to improve the video quality. In other words garbage in garbage out. Size depends on format your pulling from. Handbrake will let you crop out dead areas from sides or widescreen formats to help make files smaller. As for resolution here is what their software says: "Video can be captured at 640 x 480 at 29.97 frames per second for NTSC video sources, and 720 x 576 at 25 frames per second for PAL/SECAM sources." On the whole I'm please to just be able to preserve old family videos that were slowly being lost on vhs tapes. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I have not noticed the reading light getting hot. We are very happy with the lamps. Our favorite thing about them is the ease to turn them off and on. They have rocker switches on the base so when we're done reading we can just reach over and turn them off. Our old lamps we had to reach up under the shade and turn a little knob. Very happy with the quality too.

Answer:	The very top is a lighter brown and top of the base is lighter with a burl look. The the very bottom of base is a very dark brown almost black. The middle section is plain brown and does not have the highlights in the picture. I bought champagne colored paint at craft store and added my own highlights. It looks beautiful. I love this lamp but I added my own touch. You may like that it is plain in the center. I think it looks lighter in center because light is hitting it.
