Answer:	It doesn't produce any audible sound.

Answer:	It works well on my steel (2003 Sierra U12) in 90% of circumstances but sometimes has trouble finding the note quickly on stages that have loud subwoofers beneath. But highly recommended anyway!

Answer:	Probably would work, but doesn't have a microphone so it must be clipped on to the harmonica, or at least touching it. An iphone app would be more convenient and much cheaper I think. PanoTuner, for example, is really good.

Answer:	I am not sure exactly what you mean by preset. There are 2 sweetened tunings specifically for dobro, and if you don't want a sweetened tuning you just select the standard (equal temperament) tuning. It just shows you what note you are closest to regardless of how you have your dobro tuned. I used the USB interface to remove all tunings except equal, so I don't have to worry about getting it in a funny mode by fat-fingering the tiny buttons that are all jammed up next to each other (still a sore point with me!).

Question:	I play in c#f#be on bass. how would you make that the setting to tune to
Answer:	Set it to chromatic.
Question:	Is this product adequte for a 10 string pedal steel guitar ? I was told to get a tuner that shows the frequency and I do not see a # on the display
Answer:	This won't show the frequency in Hertz, but it will indicate pitch, and the 10 string pedal steel should be in its range. There is a dot on the display to indicate a sharp.
Question:	How does the TU-3 effect a fuzz face if it's placed a couple pedals away after the fuzz ? I assume it has a buffer like most Boss pedals
Answer:	Put fuzz before this tuner or on a loop switcher or on a volume pedal. Especially true for germanium fuzz devices and certain other types of dirt pedals. The Waza version of the TU-3 has a switch that makes it true bypass. If you understand what I'm saying about fuzz pedals then you definitely want that. That said, it's a very good buffer, but it will interact with fuzz pedals in a pretty annoying way. The people who are saying it doesn't affect other pedals don't understand the issue. Some vintage-style Fuzz pedals tend to turn into full volume howling noise when you turn your guitar volume down, if they are on the wrong side of this kind of buffer. This is not a value judgement, and it's inappropriate to invoke Pete Cornish here. Buffered pedals are good. Some very desirable pedals really, really want to be before the first buffer.
Question:	I see a reviewer fault it for picking up ambient vibration, and one for a slow response time. Anyone else experience these as a problem? Thanks

Answer:	On/Off switch. When On and tuning, no sound gets through to the amp. When playing, you need to turn the tuner to OFF. The LED display is off while you're playing.

Answer:	Yes it is. In fact, the entire backlit screen turns green when the string is in tune (it is blue otherwise, flat or sharp). However, I can't figure out how to change the tuning mode from chromatic to guitar. It works in chromatic mode, but I feel it would work better if it only had EADGBE to choose from.

Answer:	I use this tuner on my pedal board. Yes, it does mute the output when engaged for tuning. It is also true bypass when not tuning. Not a fancy tuner, but perfect for live performance.

Answer:	Interesting question, and for sure, you aren't the first one to wonder about this. I got my BLACK TC poly tuner on sale at the big guitar store that's local to me, but all around - the one alluded to by DJ in the link he posted in answer to this very same question. I got it on sale for $38 and change. Could have gotten the white for the same price. That was about 2 years ago, and the prices have gone up and down. But other than the "sale" on or off, the prices haven't changed in those couple of years. Sometimes the sales are just a straight 15% off, so I would have paid a few dollars more if that was the case. Dumb luck got me another $4 off give or take. I realize this question was asked 3 years ago, but I'm pretty sure people today are asking the same thing - the black color doubles the price (almost)? I know my black car's paint cost extra, but it was for being metallic, not black. In fact, they have non-metallic in the make and model of my car in black for no extra cost. Answer:	If you're unsure of how to place the bridge back on, take it to a music shop and they will assist you, music and arts centers will assist you in the store, I've done plenty of those at no cost when I used to work there. There is a certain direction and placing the bridge must sit to be able to sit properly, please seek a professional for instrument care.

Answer:	For setting intonation I would prefer a plug-in tuner with an actual needle display meter. My opinion only, and I do own the Fishman FT2 tuner which is excellent.

Answer:	The one I have is the FT-2, which shows degrees of tuning and it also shows every note, ie, A, A#, Bb, B, etc. As far as setting these, I haven't seen one that will do that yet at this price point. I use this one for all my instruments and it works great on all of them but I will say it is a bit touchy on my 5-sting bass low B string.

Answer:	Flip the head up, it turns on. Flip it back down, flush with the surface of your instrument's headstock, it turns off. If you forget and leave the tuner head up, I'm not sure it automatically turns off. Seems I've found it on when I did that, but the gap of time was not significant.
