The Lightview is really lightweight and is simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces that snap into place with each other easily, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together.

It measures 5.5 inches long and just over 4 inches tall (total housing for lens measures 9.5 x 7.5 inches) The lens is about 1 inch thick, and is made from real diopter glass, for 2.25x magnification of what you're looking at. The dust cover for the lens is not removable at this time.

OPERATION AND USE-

The Lightview's On/Off switch is conveniently located at the bottom of the head, just under the lens on the left side. To dim the brightness levels, just tap the touch sensing arrows at the top of the lamp head.

Because of the built in dimmer, the lamp cannot be dimmed externally at this time. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.
