Since neither of these apply to a kindle there is no reason to use 2 hands. However, no reason not to use both hands when reading if that is your preference.

Answer:	Snap is more like a magnet just closes and no forcing it. The case is actually hard, like a shell. I would say is has a leather like exterior, but it feels more like a shell like you would find on a cell phone cover that was hard.

Answer:	It’s PU leather (polyurethane) but looks nice and holds up well. I’ve used mine for a year (six months heavy use, six light) and see no wear whatsoever. I would buy it again.
