A electrical fixture is constructed taking it's approved use in consideration. This emergency light has 4 plastic clips that are not designed to hold the vertical weight that could fall on someone's head. Using a wall-mounted fixture on a ceiling can also overheat the building's wires.

You do need a 110 volt AC junction box to connect the light's wires to your home electrical system. If you do not have a junction box with wire from your circuit breaker box, the cost of an electrician to do tis for you many not be worth that added expense.

Answer:	I'm not absolutely sure as my light always comes on at night as soon as the lights are out. But a rechargeable battery can always be replaced in any item. I'm very satisfied with this product. Try it, you'll like it. Very good for power failures.
Question:	can the rechargeable battery be removed and replaced? Or do you have to throw out the unit when it no longer recharges

Question:	Is the six pack individually packaged so I can give them as gifts or are they all together
Answer:	It makes it bright enough to let me see the fixtures, but does not keep me awake, but my light is around a corner. However when the lights go out do to a storm it shines brightly enough so you can get to it and it becomes a flashlight. During the day it remains unlit. i have several of them , Perhaps you could put it in another room close by, for its emergency flashlight value
