If it detects a resistance across a load, ( headlight, tailight) that is out of range for the application, it will turn on the "lamp out" light in the IPC and continually pulse the circuit with a low voltage/amperage current. This will make some aftermarket LEDs to pulse, or not work at all. Plug and play is deceptive. This means the connections are the same as the OEM, and they will plug right in. If you have a vehicle with this system you should look for products that specifically state anti flicker or error warning free. Others will need an additional resistor/ capacitor pack installed inline with the bulb. Hope this helps.

You may need to add some sort of resistor to the circuit going to the LED bulbs.
