Answer:	I don't have any problem pouring water into glasses or bowls with the Brita. But there is one thing you need to beware of. The plastic top 'snaps down' in place. Sometimes it can come loose, and then a flood of water will pour out of the top, and over everything. To stop this from happening, I always put pressure on the top with one hand, when I am pouring water.

Answer:	The easy way to get the white part dislodged is this: Remove the filter. Fill the pitcher all the way up with warm water and a dab of dishwashing liquid. Now turn it upside down. The force of the water and gravity will dislodge the white part. The soap adds some extra slip to dislodge things and cleans the pitcher. I might be a 90 pound weakling but I'm still an engineer's daughter.

Answer:	Mythbusters tested this concept and busted it. Myth: You can turn low-end vodka into top-shelf vodka with six filtrations of a domestic charcoal water filter (i.e. Brita filters). Question:	We have very hard water which deposits calcium and lime in out electric water heater will this product help on the cold water input to the tank
Answer:	This filter will only remove sediments such as dirt, rust particles, etc which are larger than the pore size of the filter cartridge. Calcium and magnesium are dissolved minerals. I’d suggest a water softener. I use the Fleck 5600SXT which does a good job. I use the Big Blue 20” filter inline before the water softener
Question:	Where can I get the o-rings for this housing
Answer:	The top one is Pentek 151122. I have not been able to find the 6" side o-ring. Maybe the Pentek 151122 can stretch to fit? Not sure. I think the side o-ring isn't that important, the top one is doing all the work.
Question:	Does this housing comes with the two O rings
Answer:	Yes the filter came with the O-rings and the mounting plate along with screws to mount the bracket to the top of the black lid that the housing screws into. Also the unit comes with the appropriate lubricating grease for the O-rings and it is strongly advised that the installer uses this grease on the entire O-ring surface to prevent tearing of the O-ring while tightening the housing.

Question:	Does this filter remove hormones
Answer:	The answer "ROES-50 system uses a high quality, .0001 micron Reverse Osmosis membrane and 3 carbon filters so it is designed to remove high levels of hormones and pharmaceutical drugs from water" is troublesome. Terms like "high quality" and "high levels" are arbitrary, and it's a safe bet people don't want arbitrary amounts of contaminants removed.
Question:	Hi apec, i see your offshore imitator is offering transparent 1st stage filter housings, why don't you offer one as well
Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.

The cartridge is made in the USA of 100% FDA compliant polypropylene. The graded density design provides 3 layers of filtration. Larger particles are trapped at the surface and progressively the cartridge allows for finer particle entrapment. Ultimately capable of 5 micron filtration near the cartridge core. To provide perspective to the 5 micron sediment entrapment rating, it is important to note the naked human eye can see down to 20 micron and a human hair is 100 microns in diameter. The grooved surface substantially increases the filter cartridge surface area thus it lasts significantly longer. The 7 gallon per minute flow rates allow for residential and light commercial applications. It is recommended the cartridge be changed every 3-6 months or upon substantial pressure reduction.



The KW2510SWHT is also the replacement filter cartridge for our dishwasher filtration system. Answer:	This filter uses FDA approved poly phosphate to inhibit the soluble hardness minerals from precipitating out of the water as scale. The resin filter cartridge removes the hardness via the process of ion exchange. For severe hardness the resin approach is recommended

Answer:	No, definitely not. works really well, but can’t be reused.
Question:	What is the difference between a scale inhibitor and without a scale inhibitor
Answer:	The polyphosphates used as scale inhibitors are salts, similar to a water softening system. If you have hard water (as we do in Florida) and an electric water heater, scaling can shorten the life span of appliances that use hot water. It isn't good for your plumbing system either. The water heater puts an electric charge in to the cold water to heat it up (via the heating element). This causes the dissolved solids (hard water) to chrystalize and become scale. Question:	What is the shelf life of these replacement filters
Answer:	Thank you for your question. That would be a little too dense for the 508 Personal Rolling Trimmer to cut through. The 508 is a small personal craft trimmer designed for a few sheets of paper per pass. The laminated card stock would either stop the rolling head right in it's tracks, or cause the cutting head to "jump track" and come out of alignment.

Answer:	I (windrider) take back my previous answer. My trimmer only came in inches. I thinking of another trimmer I have that has both metric and imperial measurements.
Question:	Does this filter fit the ZD-010 10-cup water pitcher
Answer:	Yes, it can trim them! From my experience (using THIS cutter for 15+ years) cutting delicate items, I use NONpermanent double sided tape and attach the delicate 'ads' to a piece of scrap paper (I use computer paper) lining up the edges. This gives you a way to hang onto the delicate ads/small pieces of paper you want to cut, giving them a straight edge. The scrap paper also gives the cutter something to hold to, rather than the delicate paper going thru alone. I cut delicate (re: old) newspaper, vintage doilies, vintage catalogs/books (early 1900's). If I can be of any more help please feel free to contact me. DO NOT try to use a Stampin'Up, Close to My Heart or other craft store cutters that are orange & clear & under $40?! Trust me, you will end up with shreds :( Phyllis E

Answer:	Hello! We're sorry to hear that your reservoir is stuck, and we'd like to offer a few tips to help. We recommend using two hands to pull the reservoir up from the body evenly on all sides. If that does not work, try placing it on the counter and letting it come back to room temperature. This works because the tank expands slightly and the water displaces as it warms up, allowing the reservoir to be slightly looser. You can also place your finger between the reservoir and the pitcher in the spout area to aid removal.
