Answer:	No you do not need anything in the output. That is just for a pass-through to plug in a monitor. If you have your camera plugged into the inputs and the USB plugged into your laptop you should be fine. Maybe plug your camera directly into a TV to check the output signal is working.

Answer:	It comes with 2 cords: USB to micro USB for power (you need an adapter) and USB to USB to connect to the computer. No HDMI included.
