Answer:	This is a difficult question to answer because of the interpretation of the question. With the seat and the cover closed the unit is just about 2 inches thick - that is to say the top of the cover is about 2 inches off of the porcelain of the toilet. However, if you do not include the cover the seat measures about 1 & 1/2 inches off of the toilet porcelain. Then of course please consider that the actual seat has protective bumpers on the bottom to cushion the seat from the toilet porcelain. Those bumpers are about a 1/4 of an inch think. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The seat part of the fixture is about 7/8 inch measured at the outside front edge. However, the seat itself is not 7/8 inch thick. It is indented underneath and is really about 1/2 inch in thickness. The lid is made the same way and has the same measurements.
Question:	How thick is the toilet seat without the lid
Answer:	Just in case you meant lid, the lid and the seat are one unit but easily pop off. There are 2 buttons you access when the seat is totally lifted. You push them in at the same time and the entire unit comes off very easily (pull straight up). It also re-installs just as fast. It's an awesome design because there is no need to mess with the screws and bolts where it's fastened to the toilet.
Question:	Can you separate the kid from the seat for cleaning purposes
Answer:	I think there are more than enough to start your Worm Factory. I have the same system, and when I placed these worms in the top bin ( I had almost completed compost in the second and third bins )about half of them migrated down to the second bin. Good luck with them.

People accustomed to heavy, stiff wood seats may think plastic is bad, but for harsh environments such as bathrooms, high-quality plastic is much better for several reasons. Answer:	Just guessing, but probably to connect the little rubber tube to the overflow pipe. Maybe wedge the spring into the top of the overflow pipe and insert the tip of the rubber (plastic ?) tube into the center of the spring? Mine uses a metal clip.

Answer:	The flapper is a standard size. I am not sure what part of the flapper is two inches. The rod to the float ball thing was too long, so I used the rod and float ball from my original stuff since they were in okay shape. My problem of a leak was resolved with the repair kit parts.

Self-Cleaning Nozzle

Answer:	Joyce, I've never had a problem ordering from Amazon. The expiration date on my current order is Aug 2016. Amazon stands behind their products and would send a replacement overnight if you found the dates were expired. I buy my litter, cat food,etc. from Amazon. So much easier than putting the heavy litter bag in a cart, loading and unloading from the car. They deliver right to the door.
Question:	The instructions say: "Feed an average size cat 1 can per 2.5 pounds of body weight daily." So for a 10-pound cat, you'd feed them about 4 cans/day
Answer:	How much to feed a cat depends on their age, size, activity level, and whether pregnant or nursing. Wet food is healthier- dry food can cause crystals or urinary bladder stones especially in males. ( I know from experience. My kitty spent 1 week in the hospital and $4000 later- I was told not to feed him any dry food.) The vet also told me to feed my 12 lb. kitty two 3 oz. cans of food a day. This amount can be divided into 4 portions. More than 2 cans, if your cat is not active, will cause weight gain. Cats love this food and they are experts at manipulation and begging! Keep a watch on their weight. If they are gaining- decrease amount. If losing weight- slightly increase amount fed.

Answer:	Yep, Jan 2020 is fine, Feb 2020 they don't touch. I called the company and they confirmed the change but assurred me the cats wouldn't tell the difference. Um, he didn't wonder why I called, I guess.

Answer:	I've done once when I fed a street cat (it was abroad), and I didn't have any bowl or plate. After he ate about half, I decided to feed using a wood branch I picked up from the ground just in case the cat might injure the tongue.

My tank has a water level and my water is set at that level. I also set the actual flapper to #4 setting if that helps
