Answer:	It can work, but you will need the sides to be sloped towards the middle now for it to properly drain. If you are using large tiles, I would recommend getting one large enough to cover the entire width of your shower so you only need to create one slope.

Answer:	If you mean "laundry sink," not really. You typically want to put something in a sink to soak it or run water over it to get it clean. This product is 12" x 12" at the top. The photo shows it tapered to approximately 6" x 6" at the bottom which is rounded. This is actually a large floor drain. I got it a a drain for back washing a swimming pool. Search "small laundry sink" and you will find a sink 12" x 18" wide and 5" deep that might be used in small space of a food truck.

Answer:	Hi Rita, sorry to disagree with the prior comment, but WingTite will not work with tile showers. The WingTite drain is designed to work with most all of the composite shower materials such as fiberglass, acrylic, plastic and cultured marble. Tile shower drains are typically embedded in a concrete mortar bed below the tile itself and if they leak there is no easy way to fix them except by removing the entire shower floor. Question:	Can this drain body be converted to tile finish instead of the grate
Answer:	I’m not a professional but I have it in my home and I don’t think so. The water falls into the basin and it seems like tile would block the water from getting through. Unless you could really customize it and lift up the insert somehow. But also keep in mind you need to lift that insert to clear the hair trap.
Question:	How can I cleans smaller hair catcher? It get gunky
Answer:	Take a small wire brush and twist it inside the cup. Then simply soak the catcher in cleaner and wipe it off. I live with two women who have very long blonde hair. I clean the drain daily.

Answer:	My best guess Would be that it wouldn’t be good for a kitchen. I’m not sure if it would be strictly water that gets sent to the drain but things could get caught on the top rate and then the drain opening itself is kind of small

You need to incorporate a split drain if hot mopping the shower pan. The hot mopped seal would go on top of the drain flange. The mortar and tile would be level with the finish drain screen.

Question:	How far does the center piece protrude above and below the plane of the 4.4" diameter perimeter? Total height is
Answer:	It's 4 3/4" overall, including the 1/4" silicone edging. Essentially flat, with no protrusions on underside. The edging is the only thing that keeps it from sliding away from drain hole. You could put a dab of silicone underneath to hold it, but it does catch hairs on top of very small holes and needs to be cleaned from time to time.
Question:	Is it easy to install
Answer:	Yes. The hair may be caught around the edge of it instead of on the top sometimes, but it stops all the hair.
Question:	Can this be used upside down on flat tub drains (with the grate that's flush with the tub floor) or would it be ineffective? Thanks
Answer:	You would need something to catch the hair, ESPECIALLY, if it's long . Long hair down the drain is a major cause for clogged drain pipes. If not this one, some type of drain to keep it from entering the drain pipe.
Question:	What are the basket dimensions? Height is most important
Answer:	It depends on the size and strength of the "something". I would say would keep insects from coming up, but a Florida python or baby Alligator would rip right through that drain and eat up your naked self .

Answer:	Looks close to a brushed nickel finish. I would say it's more shiny than matte. The one I installed somewhat matched a satin nickel shower trim kit.
Question:	Is the surface of the drain smooth? I’ve seen some where it’s sharper than others and want to make sure it’s smooth to prevent cutting the kids
Answer:	Surface is very smooth, the ones that I have bought have not had sharp edges.
