Answer:	The cover does have holes on top. However we still had a problem with rain pooling on top. If you can install the canopy on an angle you wouldn't have problems with rain.
Question:	How do you tilt this umbrella
Answer:	I use the cover with the Garden Winds pergola frame from Lowes. At the end of each weight rod are ties that go around each of the 4 corner posts. I have had no problems with winds other than occasionally after the winds die down here, (and here in GA 15 to 25 mph winds are considered high) the cover shifts a little and I have to untie it and pull it back in place and retie the corners, not a big deal. It easily can be pulled and positioned by one person without assistance. The cover is made that way so it can be positioned as needed to block sun from the sides that it covers. So as long as the ties are in place, the weight rods seem to do their job just fine.
Question:	What is the pole made out of. it say's the ribs are aluminum but is the pole also aluminum
Answer:	I don't think so. It fits my 10X7 foot pergola. So if your 9ft is also 7ft wide it might fit. Hope that helps.
