Question:	If I use this as a floating desk, will you see these brackets from on angle underneath the wood
Answer:	You shouldn't see them at all from any angle but you should use wood that's at least 1.5" thick and notch the area on the back side of the wood so the mounting area of the bracket fits into the back.
Question:	How many brackets are needed to support a shelves that are 10" long and 40.25" wide and 10" long and 37.25" wide
Answer:	The size does matter but not as much as how much weight you are trying to support. Make sure you get 2 of the brackets mounted in a stud. I would probably use 3 per shelf but unless you are really stacking a lot of weight 2 would likely be enough. If you are putting a lot of weight on there you can cut away the drywall behind the brackets and mount directly on the stud.

Answer:	The width of the shelve isn’t as critical as the weight of what’s on it. So, yes a 7” shelf is ok—I used 1x8 material in my application. Just don’t overload the shelve once mounted.

Answer:	No.... this is / was one of my frustrations with this product. When I located the stud I must have found the dead center and as I travelled the screws thru the bracket and drywall, both of those inside screws literally just shaved the edge of the stud. I ended up not using this product and went to a basic angled shelf bracket. Was way too hard to get the holes in the back of the shelf to line up perfectly to 4 studs protruding from the wall.

You can drill another hole on the bracket (in the middle of the two existing ones) and screw the bracket on the stud using the new-drilled hole and one of the existing ones. It would not be ideal to turn the bracket on its side as it wont be strong enough to support the shelf.

Question:	How much weigth can this support if I install 5 brackets vertically (to get 2 screws in each stud), 16 inch distance between each bracket
Answer:	Hard to say exactly. My guess is 100'ish lbs safely with a static load. The problem becomes the supporting bracket that holds the rod perpendicular to the wall may flex even if you were drilled into a stud. You'd have to test it out and see what it could hold. Likely a lot more I guess with 5. Give it a shot and let us know!

Answer:	I placed a bracket on every stud in my wall i could find. I put a barn wood mantle piece 72" with this product. I ended up using 6 of the 8. Attached the brackets to the wall. Simply drilled holes into mantle piece and slid it on the brackets. Looks amazing and is sturdy.
Question:	What is the length of the support arms. How deep does the hole for the supports need to be drilled
Answer:	the support arm alone is about 96mm (about 3.8"), you are expected to drill at least 4.5" . please also notice that you need to drill the space for the bracket plate too. for more detail dimension, you can check one of the photos in the listing. thanks

INSTALLATION GUIDE

Tools You Need:

Firstly, every bracket will need screws x2, anchors x2, washer x2.

For tools, you need to have Level, Drill, Electric Screwdriver, Hammer. (You may need drill press if the shelf is DIY)

Drill holes on wall - You should use a level to mark a cross on the wall to make sure you drill the holes in the right place.

Install the bracket - You can use washers to help the bracket install tightly. An electric screwdriver is highly recommended.

Adjustment - Slightly adjust the rod and height of bracket

Insert the shelf - Just simply put it in, what's more important is to prepare slot for the bracket. Not only for the rods, but also for hole bracket. Again, it will be much easier if you have a drill press with you. Or simply buy pre-drilled brackets locally.

Installation:

1. You should use level to mark cross on the wall to make sure you drill the holes in the right place, the distance between both holes is 42mm.

2. Drill two holes into the marks on the wall and make sure the hole can fit the screws you mounted.

3. Screw the shelf bracket into the wall by two screws.

4. Drilling holes(7/16'' Dia. & 3'' Depth) in the side of the shelf, make sure bracket rod fit into the holes.

5. Just simply mount the shelf to bracket rod, level it and hold it securely into place.

(For a flush mount, please use a chisel or Router to make a channel about 0.16" deep to hide the mounting bracket)



The bearing capacity of the bracket depends on:

- Mount on wood or concrete wall

- The quality and length of screws used

- The size and weight of the bracket, and weight distribution on the shelf
