How to change your number combination?



1. Open your padlock, the code will be . . . .

2. Turn the right cap of the lock towards you and pull off the number rings.

3. Slide the rings back on with the combination of choice. They need to line up on the red marks.

Answer:	It's coated and the combination is aluminum. Should be weather resistant.

Answer:	Your lock may not work the same as mine. It came with no instructions but I found help on the web. The 4-digit code might not be the starting code. Here is what I used. -Set all tumblers to the "Dot" position in line with the raised markings on the case. -Remove the U shaped shaft. -With the numbers facing toward you the right way up, turn the right hand side Capped end a quarter turn toward you, then pull it off completely. - remove all four number rings. -Locate the red markings on the exposed body. -Decide on you new code and put the rings back on with your code numbers on the red marked lines (reading left to right, of course). -Put on the end cap. -Turn the end cap a quarter turn away from you. -Your new code is set and ready to use. -Note that the leg of the shaft with the most exposed metal gois in the coned part of the lock.
Question:	could any one tell me how to set the combination
Answer:	The end unscrews and all the numbers come off, then you put the numbers back on as you wish for your combination.

Question:	I wanted to use this on a cherry finish kitchen cabinet. Would there be damage to the cabinet finish when we remove the adhesive with a hair dryer

Answer:	Yes, you can. We use it on our medicine and ammunition cabinets. The manufacturer is a great company and replies to questions and suggestions. We tried many locks and I can highly recommend this one!
Question:	How strong is the lock? Like if someone were to try to yank the fridge open, would the rope snap or the sticker come off the fridge? Thanks
Answer:	The “rope” is actually a steel cable. So, it won’t snap. But, the cable could be cut with a small Cable cutter. The weakest part of the system is the glue that holds both parts onto the two surfaces. It requires a little strength to break the adhesive with your hand, but I’ve done it. But, the two parts also have holes so that they can be drilled through and screwed in place, which is a lot stronger than the supplied glue.
Question:	How do i reset the combination
Answer:	The current Combo has to be displayed with the cord in the lock. Then there is a button on the side that can be pressed in with a pointed object like a pen. Hold in the button while you put in the new combination then when you stop pressing in the button with the pen the combo will be set to whatever you changed it too. You will not have to remove the lock from the fridge or appliance to change the combination. There are instructions included with the lock that tell you how and an email that will be sent.

Answer:	So you got it and it was already locked? The default is 1234 or 0000. You’re saying that was wrong???

Answer:	The directions specifically say DO NOT FORGET it. If it is something that you will easily forget then get one with a key. It is only 4 digits.
