Answer:	You can only reset the combination when the lock is open, you can't reset the combo if it's already locked. That would defeat the purpose of it being a lock. So, if you locked it and forgot the combination you can't reset, you can only cut the lock off. However, with only 999 possibilities, with a little patience you can try them one at a time till it opens.

Answer:	The holder works well but you may have to use another type of liner depending on the diameter of your top tube. Mine was too large for the provided liner and too small without so I had to"rig" it myself. That was really no problem in my opinion though. I have only set the combination once and have not had to reset it, but it works easily enough. Overall I am pleased with the setup and would recommend this product.
