| Answer: | I have a new fiberglass door, and did not want to drill screw holes in to it to mount a kickplate. I ordered the BRASS Accents A09-P0834-PVDADH 8" x 34" Kick Plate Lifetime Polished Adhesive Mount. Mark a level pencil line at the top of the height you want it, run masking tape to get your straight line, mark the tape for either corner, peel off the paper to expose the adhesive, and stick it on. Pretty simple. There is a clear plastic covering the polished brass side. I peeled it off after sticking it on the door. That allowed me to rub a shop towel firmly over the kickplate to press it on, without having to worry about scratching it. If you wanted to paint the door anytime soon, I suppose you could leave the clear on until after you paint the door. |
