Answer:	Although mine only worked about 10 days before it decided quit working. And now seem to work when it wants to. It did work in temperatures in the mid to upper 20’s

Answer:	I believe that the instructions tell you how big the opening should be. And without going out to the coop right now, I am not sure the measurement of my coop door opening. I can tell you that my original door opening was larger than the chickenguard door so I had to add a 2x4 to reduce the opening size. Good luck! I LOVE my chickenguard!

Answer:	yes, the door moves pretty slowly, I have never had a chicken squished. But if your chickens are still outside the coop at dark you may have to watch them and manually open the door and let some of them in until they get the hang of it. At least that's what I have had to do and also with each new set of babies I add to the flock. But it is still better than losing all my hens to the foxes!!

Answer:	Yes. Even when brand new it stays unlocked some of the time. Read the manufacturer's response to some reviews and you will find this is a design "feature". What the rest of the world would cause a design flaw.
Question:	Does this work with google hub
Answer:	No, the cat door will not get confused. Your cats microchip is probably somewhere on his/her back so he/she must be in the "tunnel" for the reader to acknowledge the chip and unlock the door. The door automatically opens from the inside to get out. I live in an area with raccoon's and I found that the raccoon's were smart enough to pull the door towards them, as if the cat was coming out, and let themselves in and out. Not good for us.
Question:	Can this be used with another gateway like my Vivint system
Answer:	Ani Mate customer service didn't seem to know much about their products. I was told that the combined in and out arrows always left the cat the ability to go both directions but did not lock exit which was what I wanted...locked both directions unless chip or tag detected. I saw too many racoon videos where they could reach around and open the flap if it was not also locked from the inside. The Ani Mate rep said that was not possible to do since the sensor was on the inside. Both reps that I talked to read directly from the instructions I already had. I ended up replacing with the cheaper 305 which does exactly what I wanted it to do. I don't know for sure, but I think the 355 would have also if put in secure mode. The 305 comes that way. The 355 has to be set. Ani Mate reps never suggested that.
Question:	How easy is this to pu together
Answer:	Noise is moderate. Latching mechanism timing depends primarily on the microchip placement in the animal. If the chip is close to the neck area, it works well. If the chip is more towards the shoulders, the animal has to nose at the door for a period for the latch to trigger correctly. Hope this helps...

Answer:	It fits most, but you have to look at the dimensions listed for the holes in your door to make sure it will fit.
Question:	I have a metal door that doesn't use face plates. Does this come with the round face plates also? You can't use the existing face plates

Answer:	Haven’t had to change batteries yet, installed couple months ago. On our previous house we changed the batteries around 8 month’s, it beeped after locking when batteries were low
Question:	Can you prevent it from locking automatically
Answer:	Of course yes, the auto-lock feature automatically re-locks your doors, by default, in 30s after unlocking. But if you wanna disable the auto-lock function, you can change it in just simple 4 steps. Before operation, you need to make sure the lock is unlocked and the door is opened, then (1) enter your existing programming code; (2) Press TACKLIFE button, you will hear one beep; (3) Press 5; (4) Press TACKLIFE button again. You will hear two beeps if the change successed, otherwise, three beeps will indicate the chage in unsuccessful.

Answer:	It means that there is a keypad on both sides of the lock. If you want to go in, you have to type the code. If you want to go out, you have to type the code. It's typically used when there might be a way to reach over, around, or through the door/gate to get to the the inside handle, so you don't want a simple twist lock on that side.
