Answer:	Not sure but it would probably shorten it by 6 inches. But you would be giving up the solid part of the pry bar which comes in handy after using the hinged part!

Answer:	i do not have this model. i have the shorter version of this model. down the road, i would get this model -bending over to use is hard on the back, so longer bar would help. my claw broke/snapped off after a couple of years. but i went thru a lot of pallets (home use). using this tool with heavy hammer is the go to option. it is handy to have a few options ie i bought a pallet specific tool that with perfect wood, would work. or jus’ cutting off the wood b/c the planks would crack anyway b/c of staple-use or dried hard wood.

Answer:	I typically grab the nail as near to the entry point as possible and generally am not gripping the nail head and they work better than any other nail puller I have ever used.

Answer:	No. The far end of the nail needs to be expelled into open space, like a trash can or your yard. :-)
