Answer:	I don't think it matters I removed the red strips and placed them on the cabinet door and frame. They're great. They are still sticking after a couple of months and are doing exactly what they said.

Answer:	I don’t think so unless you use 3 pairs (1 pair wall door, 1 pair panel 1 panel 2, and 1 pair door wall). I would think there are much better solutions than these for your purpose.

Answer:	Before installation, you should clean the surface of the catch and cabinet door that you plan to adhere to. Also you should close and open the door after 12 hours (very important) in order to make the adhesive compound adhere well on this surface.
Question:	The photo shows four sets of what looks like three pieces - are there three pieces per set - what are the pieces used for
Answer:	Yes, there are three pieces - two metal pieces - one goes on the cupboard door, and one on the cabinet you want to close the door to, and the red piece is double-sided sticky tape that you can use instead of screws to fix the metal pieces to the door and the cabinet. I used the sticky tape, and it works really well. Very happy with this purchase.

Answer:	The screws were very small. they are currently in the shelving now, so I cannot measure them. They were long enough to hold the base in, but it has to be flat to the shelf.

Answer:	It is not glue. It is a 3M adhesive that is removable. Yes, you can screw them in and they come with screws. However, why would you want to damage your cabinets? The adhesive works well. Just follow the directions. We put them on after dinner so they would not be opened until the next morning.

1. Please clean and dry the surface before installing (Very important)

2. Use the installation ALIGNMENT CRADLE ( 1 Per package, need only one cradle to install all your locks) to position the locks location

3. Peel off the adhesive film

4. Stick the striker plate to the frame

5. Stick the lock to the door or drawer (Test it for screws and nails before you stick the lock if it's effected by a nail or a screw inside the door)

6. Close the cabinet door or drawer and check for proper fit. Can be repositioned immediately

7. IMPORTANT: There must be 1/8 to 1/4 inches of space between the lock and striker plate when locked. If the door fits tightly, it can not unlock

8. Once aligned PRESS FIRMLY for 5-10 seconds on to the locks and latches for better bonding

9. MOST IMPORTANT: DO NOT TEST it right away; leave it unlocked and allow 24 hours for adhesive to dry before usage for maximum strength

10. The locks are shipped off position, flip the switch to on position before use

Since the locks also contain a magnet, they can be affected by any nails or staples that may be present inside the cabinet doors. Before attaching the lock, you can move it around the inside of the door, leaving the lock in the locked position. If the attaching hook moves or drops into the lock body, it has detected a ferrous metal inside the cabinet door. Simply move the lock away until the locking hook is no longer affected.

LOCK WON'T UNLOCK

When attaching the flat striker plate to the cabinet or dresser frame, please leave enough space so that the door or drawer can open just slightly (1/8 –1/4 inch) when locked. This space allows the lock to clear the striker when being opened using the magnetic key. If the lock is in contact with the striker plate, it will just mesh even more tightly; as it is designed to do.

LOCK DOES NOT STAY ATTACHED

Some cabinets have a fingerprint-resistant surface that makes the tape harder to adhere to. A handy little clamp that you may use to hold the locks firmly to the cabinet doors while the 3M tape is curing. This procedure isn’t normally required, but helps to cabinet locks stay secured. 1. Please clean and dry the surface before installing (Very important)

2. Use the installation ALIGNMENT CRADLE ( 1 Per package, need only one cradle to install all your locks) to position the location of the lock

3. Peel off the adhesive film

4. Stick the striker plate to the frame

5. Stick the lock to the door or drawer (Test it for screws and nails before you stick the lock if it's affected by a nail or a screw inside the door)

6. Close the cabinet door or drawer and check for proper fit. Can be repositioned immediately

7. IMPORTANT: There must be 1/8 to 1/4 inches of space between the lock and striker plate when locked. If the door fits tightly, it can not unlock

8. Once aligned PRESS FIRMLY for 5-10 seconds on to the locks and latches for better bonding

9. MOST IMPORTANT: DO NOT TEST it right away; leave it unlocked and allow 24 hours for adhesive to dry before usage for maximum strength

10. The locks are shipped off position, flip the switch to on position before use

11. Use the magnetic key to open

LOCK DOES NOT ENGAGE

Since the locks also contain a magnet, they can be affected by any nails or staples that may be present inside the cabinet doors. Before attaching the lock, you can move it around the inside of the door, leaving the lock in the locked position. If the attaching hook moves or drops into the lock body, it has detected a ferrous metal inside the cabinet door. Simply move the lock away until the locking hook is no longer affected.

LOCK WON'T UNLOCK

When attaching the flat striker plate to the cabinet or dresser frame, please leave enough space so that the door or drawer can open just slightly (1/8 –1/4 inch) when locked. This space allows the lock to clear the striker when being opened using the magnetic key. If the lock is in contact with the striker plate, it will just mesh even more tightly; as it is designed to do.

LOCK DOES NOT STAY ATTACHED

Some cabinets have a fingerprint-resistant surface that makes the tape harder to adhere to. A handy little clamp that you may use to hold the locks firmly to the cabinet doors while the 3M tape is curing. This procedure isn’t normally required, but helps to cabinet locks stay secured. Optional screws can be used if necessary.

Question:	Is there a way to disengage the locks when not in use
Answer:	yes. There is a 'switch' under the latch. If it is down the locks will engage, but if you lift the switch, it will keep the latch down and prevent it from engaging. You will actually see the latch depress and not rise again after the switch is raised.
Question:	locks work fine before installation,but once installed on door it does not work.why not
Answer:	This can happen if you install the lock too close to metal (like a metal knob/handle, screws, or metal buried inside the wood). In fact, I ran into this problem during my install. I recommend using the magnet key to check for any metal bits in drawer faces and doors prior to installation. If the lock is installed too close to metal that's on the surface, or buried inside of a drawer face or door, the locking mechanism won't engage because the magnet inside the lock will be attracted to the metal, preventing the lever from popping up and snagging the catch. I ran into this problem even though I installed the lock away from the metal handle and screws. After removing the metal handle and screws from the drawer face, I still experienced the issue. However, if I removed the lock from the drawer face it worked fine (the lever would pop up when the magnet key wasn't applied). I finally determined that there were small bits of metal buried inside the drawer face (probably small woodworking nails/staples), and confirmed it by using the magnet key to move along the wood, feeling it being pulled in various places. I simply moved the lock to a different location away from where I felt the pull on the magnet, and that solved the problem.

Question:	Can you mount the magnet locks vertically
Answer:	If you are asking can the shaft be mounted either horizontally or vertically, the answer is yes. If you are asking if the latch will hold down a horizontal door, only gravity will be holding the door down. You might be able to make the horizontal door pop up a bit by pushing down on it and then having the latch push up, but I would only use this latch on vertical doors, where the latch is placed at the top or side.
Question:	Does this work for an under cabinet door
Answer:	Confused by the question but should work on any door
Question:	In photos, what is the difference between internal and external doors? need to know the max clearance i need (how far in i push for door to pop out
Answer:	Not sure what you mean about internal/external doors? Maybe interior/exterior doors. Would not be suitable for exterior door as there’s no way to lock it. You only need to push in about 1/4”. Screw the latch to the inside of the cabinet so that when the door is closed it’s flush outside.
Question:	How thick is this? The dimensional drawing does not include this measurement, and I have a thickness constraint to work with on my cabinet
Answer:	The thick of our push open latch is 2cm/0.787 inch.

Question:	What is the purpose of the round white threaded and slotted part
Answer:	The clear/white plug looking piece is for specifically installing these into particle board, which doesn’t hold screws very well. This piece helps hold the screw, but if you are screwing into solid wood or plywood it is not needed.
Question:	Will this catch work with soft close hinges
Answer:	Yes, you can use these touch latches witch soft closing cabinet doors, but you would have to manually push the door shut to activate the touch latch.
Question:	Does this work to open a drawer with soft close system
Answer:	Yes, our push open latch with magnet force can work well for a drawer with soft close system.
Question:	Would a couple of these per drawer work on dresser drawers
Answer:	Yes, using two of these per drawer would certainly be sufficient. You may find, however, that one would also suffice. I use these on cabinet doors and they are quite strong. When they pop out, they do so with 15 to 20 pounds of force. Hope this helps!
