As long as the exhaust fan is on when taking long hot showers, as it should be to prevent mold from building up, and the remote switch is on a wall that is not inside or directly along side the shower, then yes. The other module is buried under the light fixture in the wall or ceiling box.

One or more (Multiple) remote transmitters can be mounted anywhere making it a 3-way or 4-way switch. The "receiver" can not be used in an existing 3-way or 4-way light switch configuration. You can "program" the same transmitter to toggle (turn on/off) other lights (other receivers). Please remember it will toggle the light to the next state ("on" will go "off", "off" will go "on"). You can not use the remote transmitter to force to a certain state (force to off). You may be able to get this functionality with other model switches tied to your house wireless computer network.
