  2. Beat together the butter and sugars until smooth. Once smooth, beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk together the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and add to the butter mixture in the bowl.
  4. Mix until everything is thoroughly incorporated. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl, and mix briefly.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop the dough, using a ¼ cup measuring scoop, onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 1 1/2" to 2" between cookies.
  7. Bake the cookies for 12 to 17 minutes, until they're a light golden brown, with slightly darker edges. Their middles may still look a tiny bit shiny; that's OK, they'll continue to bake as they cool on the pan.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven, and as soon as they're set enough to handle, transfer them to racks to cool.

To start, add the same amount of almond flour called for in your recipe, then slowly add more--enough to make a stiffer batter. Answer: This is a great question. Our Keto Wheat Flour is much higher in protein, and thus lower in starch, and the sugars in the starch are where most of the browning comes from when making a roux. It's definitely worth trying, but it might not brown as quickly as you're used to. So you'll want to keep an eye on it, since there's a risk that it might go from golden brown to burnt. Question: How far away is the expiry date when you purchase a case of
Answer: It's 100% whole wheat. I use it instead of all purpose, but it's more coarse. However because it uses the white wheat berries, it's not as coarse as traditional whole wheat flour.
Question: Is this flour glutten free
Answer: no, it is not, but it is a very high quality white whole wheat flour. If you go to King Aurthur website or search on Amazon, you will find their line of gluten free flours.
Question: Request for king arthur flour: could you please sell you harvest grain blend 2 lb package on amazon
Answer: Glyphosate (often referred to as Round Up) is not permitted for use as a pre-harvest application on the white spring wheat that our White Whole Wheat Flour is milled from. Kindly, Jesse@KA

Answer: Hello! This flour can be used in bread machines in recipes calling for whole wheat flour. Those recipes would likely be best made using the whole wheat cycle of your machine. Annabelle@KAF

Homemade Whole-Grain Pancake Mix

1. Grind the oats in a food processor until they're chopped fine, but not a powder.

2. Put the flour, oats, and all other dry ingredients into a mixer with a paddle. Mix on slow speed, and drizzle the vegetable oil slowly while the mixer is running.

3. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks at room temperature, or indefinitely in the refrigerator or freezer.

4. To make pancakes: Whisk together 1 cup of mix, 1 cup of buttermilk, and 1 large egg. Let the batter stand for at least 20 minutes before cooking.

5. Heat a lightly greased griddle to 350°F or medium-hot. Drop the batter onto it in 1/4-cupfuls to make a 4" diameter pancake. After about 2 minutes, flip the pancake over to finish cooking.

Question: Anyone know the protein level of this flour? i think ka’s is about 11%. not sure what this is. thanks
Answer: According to the Nutritional Facts on the back of the package it says 3 grams in 1/4 cup.
Question: Can someone from Whole Foods say what protein % this flour is
Answer: You can easily answer this yourself by looking at the other views of the package. It says that 30g (1/4 cup) of this flour contains 4g of protein.
Question: Does this contain added folic acid
Answer: If it did, it would have to be listed as an ingredient. It is not. Look at the other views of the packaging and see for yourself!
Question: is this unbleached
Answer: I was wondering the same so I emailed them. It's not bleached. Here's their reply: Thank you for contacting Whole Foods Market.
