11 best ryobi cordless drill
The Ryobi cordless drill is a power tool designed for drilling holes and driving screws in various materials. Ryobi is a well-known brand in the power tool industry, and their cordless drills are popular among DIY enthusiasts and professionals. Here are some key features and aspects of Ryobi cordless drills:
Cordless Design: One of the main advantages of Ryobi cordless drills is their freedom of movement. Being cordless, these drills are powered by rechargeable batteries, allowing users to work without being tethered to a power outlet. This makes them highly portable and suitable for a range of applications.
Versatility: Ryobi cordless drills are versatile tools that can be used for various tasks, including drilling holes in wood, metal, and plastic, as well as driving screws. Some models may also feature a hammer drill function for masonry work.
Battery Technology: Ryobi cordless drills typically use lithium-ion battery technology, which provides a good balance between power and weight. Lithium-ion batteries also tend to have longer life cycles and can hold a charge for extended periods, reducing downtime.
Adjustable Clutch: Many Ryobi cordless drills come equipped with an adjustable clutch. The clutch allows users to control the amount of torque applied, preventing over-tightening of screws and providing better control over the drilling process.
Multiple Speed Settings: To accommodate different materials and applications, Ryobi cordless drills often feature multiple speed settings.Lower speeds are suitable for driving screws, while higher speeds are used for drilling.
Keyless Chuck: Ryobi cordless drills typically come with a keyless chuck, which makes it easy to change drill bits or screwdriver attachments without the need for additional tools.
LED Work Light: Some models may include an integrated LED work light to illuminate the work area, especially in low-light conditions.
Ergonomic Design: Ryobi often pays attention to the ergonomic design of their tools. Comfortable grips and well-balanced designs contribute to reduced fatigue during extended use.
Interchangeable Batteries: Ryobi's ONE+ system allows for interchangeability of batteries across a range of Ryobi tools. This can be convenient if you already own other Ryobi ONE+ tools, as you can use the same batteries for multiple tools.
When considering a Ryobi cordless drill, it's important to choose a model that suits your specific needs and the type of work you plan to do. Reading product reviews and checking specifications, such as battery life, torque settings, and included accessories, can help you make an informed decision based on your requirements.

User questions & answers
Question: | Besides the hammer feature is there any difference between the 251 and 252? Trying to decide which one to buy |
Answer: | at the base of the handle in the front. |
Question: | How small of a bit will it hold? I know its the largest is a 1/2" shank |
Answer: | The hammer feature is selected with a dial. |
Question: | where do i purchase the belt clip for this drill? i purchased the P1819 kit and it didnt come with the clips |
Answer: | P2 kit is identical to the M2 kit except: a) Batteries in P2 are 5AH vs 4AH in M2 b) Hard plastic case in P2 vs bag in M2. Hard plastic case hold both tools and charger. Note: 5AH batteries are exactly the same size as the 4AH batteries. 5AH batteries are 0.5oz LIGHTER than the 4AH. The 5AH are definitely the batteries to get. |
Question: | How much torque does it have |
Answer: | My drill Chuck has been binding up since new. But still usable for now.. The impacts Chuck broke internally and wouldn't lock the bits in and the impact lost all speeds except for fast... I bought a new impact and it sparked and smelled like burning plastic for the first 30 minutes. Works now without an issue.will see.. I'd go with another brand,I'm a contractor and have been using DeWalt for 20+ years.DeWalt seems to have gone down hill. Not buying again next time. |

User questions & answers
Question: | can it drill 1/4 holes into plastic |
Answer: | ----Its not the drill, It's the BIT ----Hanson makes particular bits for drilling plastic, with any drill regardless of voltage, and theyre available most any good hardware store or Tap Plastics. They have a particularly pointed tip, so don't ever attempt to ever use them on wood or metal, as doing so would render it crapp for plastic use from then on. I have 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 in my arsenal, and they pretty much cover any plastic, ABS, PVC, and especially Plexi-Glas projects I encounter. Yeah, they're a buck or two higher than regular bits, but they also wont crack your pretty plexi-glas project all to hell like a standard twist drill bit will. |
Question: | Does this drill have a built in LED light |
Answer: | Yes, it has a light. But it's worse than useless. It lights the area nearby, but casts a shadow on the spot you are drilling. The glare makes it actually harder to see what you're doing. |
Question: | Would you recommend this drill over the DEWALT DC970K-2 18-Volt Drill/Driver Kit (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RLR0EY)? If so, why |
Answer: | I had an oportunity to use the 18V when I installed the railings on my father in laws staircase. I worked absolutely great but I had to keep switching batteries and kept one on the charger. He got it last Christmas. I told myself then the Dewalt was far superior to the two brands of portable drills I was using that I was going to get a Dewalt for myself. Honestly, when I ordered the 20V I assumed it was the same as my father in law had but his was the 18V. I would be happy with either but the 20V I have is smaller in size and lighter than the 18V that he has. Plus the 20V lithium batteries last a long long time before you have to recharge but then again replacement batteries are expensive. I just used the 20V to build my garage and so far I've only swithed batteries 5 times and that includes all the siding, drywall, wire routing. BTW I use the new star bit screws for everything they are far superior to phillips and I have given all my boxes of phillips screws away; along with my two "other brand" cordless drills. |
Question: | Does this unit come with one or two batteries |
Answer: | As of March 22, 2020 the Description clearly says it comes with two batteries... "...The tools weighs 3.6 pounds and contains 2 20 volt Max compact Lithium ion battery packs " |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the best way to store the battery when not in use |
Answer: | No it is not. |
Question: | Will the P108 battery work with the P1832 drill kit and the P720 light |
Answer: | not sure why it says that, it does require an 18v battery |
Question: | Did anyone else have their charger die just 2 months after purchase |
Answer: | yes, it is stored in the side handle. |
Question: | Does this set include the battery? The description says so but the amazon specifications says it does not |
Answer: | I would use 4-1/2" x 7/8" A/O Resin Fiber Sanding Discs, with an adhesive backing. You will also need a Backer. The backer is the piece that actually attaches to the tool. It is a rubber disc that the sanding discs stick to. The Backer will be the same measurements as the sanding disc, and the arbor will be the threaded the screw onto your tool. Larger sanding discs and larger backers are available but they may overload your tool. |

Question: | Does the impact driver remove lug nuts |
Answer: | Ryobi Part # 6797329 blade - d150 x 1.5mm |
Question: | que cargador de sus articulos está para 220 V |
Answer: | It’s a small miter box saw. My wife uses it to miter trim work inside picture frames. Bevel cuts can be made But your wood pieces would have to be oriented in the small miter box before assembly. Unless your parts are tiny, my guess is that this item wouldn’t be suitable. Best place for bevel cuts is on a table saw. |
Question: | What charger is included wthis kit |
Answer: | At 42 TPI it will cut it but you may have to sharpen and reset teeth afterwards to cut wood depending on the size of the job. It should give you a decent edge. On hardwoods it leaves a smooth, pressed finish to the edge. |
Question: | Is it 100v - 240v |
Answer: | Up to 2" it also has stabilizing channels for 1/8th and 1/4 inch stock |

Question: | What is the rpm |
Answer: | Ha! Amazon totally let me down after I ordered this drill WAY before my guy's birthday, and then got notice after notice that it would be "delayed" until a notice finally that it wouldn't be delivered at all. But I have this drill myself, love it, and the battery charger is included! |
Question: | Are the motor brushes replaceable |
Answer: | Including: 1 x HJP003 Drill / Driver, 1 x CB121L 12 Volt Battery, 1 x 140157001 12 V Battery Charger) |
Question: | Is this reversible |
Answer: | Don't know but this thing is the perfect light weight screw gun for running around fastening towel racks to drywall and studs with 2" course thread drywall screws. I have up to 3" drill point screws and it handles them easily in wood. Wouldn't be without it. It's my most used tool. Of course, you're not going to paddle up a 5 gallon pail of joint compound with it. It's a screw gun and a fine one at that. |
Question: | is it drill only or it can drive screws as well |
Answer: | Yes |
