Wi-Fi Connection Tips:

The alexa plug works with wifi networks in most American homes. Please see below for the answers to the most frequently asked questions.

1. You can check the label on the router to see the frequency type, this plug outlet is suitable for "Dual Band" or "Single Band 2.4GHz".

Answer:	It was fairly simple for me to setup. It took about 7-10 minutes to set it up. I used the google assistant so the following steps may vary if you use alexa. 1. Plug in the smart plug. 2. Press and hold the power button until the button flashes blue about twice every second. (Rapid Flashing) 3. Next, download the Smart Life app and create an account. (Make sure you sign up via email and not via google or apple. It will ask for a password during the linking process.) 4. Once an account is setup, add a new device. Select the one that says (Smart Outlet - Wifi). 5. Follow the next few prompts and it should set the plug up via Smart Life. 6. Once it is paired to the SmartLife app, Go to the "Me" Section and select a Third-Party Voice Services. 7. Follow the prompts (Hint: This is where you need the account password. Question:	I bought it when I saw the answer that it works at 220v, but it doesn't seem to work. No matter how much you press the On button, it won't turn on
Answer:	Check and make sure the socket you have it screwed into is actually on. If there's a hanging cord or wall switch etc, they have to be turned on or no power gets to the socket. Once the power is on, the remote will then be able to turn the power to the added, screwed in socket on/off. It's like having a wall outlet that's controlled by a wall switch. You can plug a lamp into the outlet, but if the wall switch is off you can't turn the lamp on by the lamp's own switch

Question:	Can you add additional remote switch
Answer:	Not a loud one. It's very subtle. It's also not harsh like one of those clicker we had as kids, which I know some people use to train dogs. This is closer to a light switch type of sound.

Answer:	Hi, our outlet has memory function, which means that the outlet will remember the previous on/off mode after power is restored. If it was on, the outlet remains on after a power outage, vice versa, if it was off, the outlet remains off after a power outage. Answer:	The version I have has a socket for a bulb instead of a plug, but I would guess not. I'd recommend plugging a short power strip into the wall, and then plugging the two wireless switches into the power strip.
Question:	Will 2 of these fit into one wall outlet. I have two separate lights that i want to run but only one outlet
Answer:	The application is to extend hdmi cable reach with cat 5. Thus hdmi is converted to cat 5 and then back to hdmi. If your modem is equipped with hdmi port it should work, however not sure if you connect cat 5 to lan port at modem/extender if the one convertor at the far end will convert to hdmi. I expect it to work as a pair taking hdmi to cat 5 and then back to hdmi

Answer:	Hello Barbara, For devices that have a tactile on/off switch (like a lamp), you will want to leave the device in the 'ON' position. This way when you turn on your remote controlled outlet, your device will power on.

Answer:	You get to choose which switch is 1, 2 etc. Programming is very easy. You point the control at the plug, turn the plug on and push the number on the controller that you want that plug to be.

To program a remote control transmitter and outlet switch receiver:

Step1: Plug the outlet switch into a socket and turn it on

Step2: Press and hold the programming button on the right side of the outlet until the LED indecator begins to flash.

Step3: Release the programming button and then press the desired On or Off button on the remote.

Step4: The paring is successful when the LED indicator stops flashing

Question:	Can I replace the batteries? two of the devices are out, the control and the other device (which I barely use is fine
Answer:	The only battery is in the remote control, which can be replaced. The receivers are powered by the outlet they are plugged into. If a receiver isn't responding, try reprogramming the system as described in the little manual. You could also try replacing the remote battery, but if one device is still working, that wouldn't seem to be the issue.
