Programming the outlets

Note: The outlets are pre-programmed for the immediate use, but the configuration can be customized to meet your needs.



To program a remote control transmitter and outlet switch receiver:

Step1: Plug the outlet switch into a socket and turn it on

Step2: Press and hold the programming button on the right side of the outlet until the LED indecator begins to flash.

Step3: Release the programming button and then press the desired On or Off button on the remote.

Step4: The paring is successful when the LED indicator stops flashing

Question:	Can I use my phone to control them
Answer:	Great product!!! This comes with 5 remote plug-in units that will only work I the the 2 specific accompanying remotes. This is great because it doesn’t interfere with another remote group if you have that set up in a room close by. My question: Can you order more plug-ins that will work with the unique remotes? I would like to be able to control 7 plug-ins (instead of the standard delivered 5 plug-ins) from the same remote. Are there special ordering instructions to do this? Thanks
Question:	can I use my iphone to control the outlets
Answer:	I used RM Pro (about $30) to control these outlets from my phone and also control other RF devices on 433Mhz or 315Mhz frequencies like Fans. It can also act as an universal IR remote for your TV, cable, audio etc. It's a great hub that learns anything, and I've enjoyed using it. Kuykendall's Klil-A-Watt is accurate, along with 24 hour a day running, for 365 days, and assuming a real cost of 18 cents a kilowatt hour out-the-door cost from the electric company, this device will use 2.4 watts a day, or 876 watts per year. Factor in the cost, and you would see a total cost of 15.768 cents per year of "vampire," use. If your electricity costs are lower, say 11 cents, it would be 9.636 cents a year. This works out to daily cost of .000432 cents per day. I wouldn't worry about the cost.

Question:	How to buy 2nd remote
Answer:	It appears Amazon offers them.
Question:	How do you deprogram a remote
Answer:	I'm not certain what you mean by deprogram. I had trouble with the units being too close together and needed to re-program each one. Etekcity sent me a fix which is: 1.Unplug any devices connected to the remote outlet. 2.Remove the outlet from the power socket. 3.Press and hold the program button. 4.Plug outlet back into power socket while continuing to hold program button. 5.Hold the program button for approximately 5 seconds until the LED indicator begins to flash 6.Program reset will be complete when the indicator light stops blinking. If this doesn't work or if I mis-interpreted the problem, ask again and we'll give it another shot.
Question:	Where do I get extra remotes and what's the cost
Answer:	There is an option to buy more remotes when you make your initial purchase. If you do not purchase one then, the seller will give you contact information when you receive it. They are about $10-20 and can be programmed at any time.
Question:	Can you turn on an outlet without the remote? In other words, if the remote is lost or in another room is there a button you can press to turn it on
