User questions & answers

Question: Charging lights
Answer: yes the light changes color while it is charging
Question: I just bought 1 in November and it's dead already. Is there a return policy
Answer: I hope so, because I got no charging of my batteries and no money back
Question: Does this charger come with the AC power cord? Didn't see one in the picture
Answer: Yes, mine did. If for any reason you don't get a cord, it uses the "standard" computer style power cord. They aren't very expensive and you might have a couple of them laying around.
Question: I have a golf caddie battery that has a two wire connection. Is there a conversion method for this charger
Answer: Yes there is a coversion method, but to keep things simple it would be better to find another intelligent charger. The charger is designed for absorbed glass mat (agm) batteries for wheelchairs. That is why it uses a 3 pin XLR cinnector. There is a possitive terminal and a negative terminal obviously, but the middle pin is the inhibit pin. On the wheelchair their is a safety link between negative terminal and the Inhibit Pin which prevents the wheelchair from driving while the batteries are being charged. Basically you don't need to use the inhibit pin connection. So when you make up your 3pin female xlr connection don't connect it to anything. You can find the wiring diagram on the net. Hope that works for you.

User questions & answers

Question: why does the fault light stay on when plugged into charging port these r new batteries
Answer: Chargers and charging ports have two polarity options. If you look at the charging plug, the two prongs sort of opposite one another are either negative or positive. The one that is sort of in the middle is connected to the negative one. Most are like this one, but some are the other way. So your charging port on your mobility device is most likely the reverse polarity compared to this charger. BTW, did you read the manual? It should tell you what the indicator lights mean. If one didn’t come with this charger, you can find the manual online if you search for it.
Question: Does the charger require feedback from the batteries in order to begin the charging cycle
Answer: I'm pretty familiar with these scooters.I don't think it requires feedback..It has no circuitry to communicate with battery. All manual
Question: This charger works on three wheels scooter pride legend
Answer: It should but you should refer to your scooters owners manual.if you don't have one go on line.
Question: Will this work on the go go elite pride
Answer: Not sure what you mean by , go go elite pride..

User questions & answers

Question: What type of connectors do you use or what size or type of terminal posts does this have
Answer: Mobile Mobility Services: Positive negative are +1 and -3. That being said without a good battery attached to the charger the charge will not charge. This charger needs to detect at least 14 volts for the charger to begin charging for safety reasons. This charger will also display fault codes which can be found in the owner manual if the voltage from the battery is above 9 volts. If not fault code is present and the charge light is not coming on you will need to check the battery pack fuse and the voltage of the battery pack. Power indicator comes on when charger detects 120 volt wall outlet.
Question: Are the listed charge voltages @20 celsius? the upg 100ah shows
Answer: Count me in with the others who say yes. My weight can change 10-15 pounds depending on how I’m standing.
Question: What is the dimentions
Answer: Battery lasted about a year and once replaced the scale doesnt work correctly. i weight around 182 but it shows 96.8 pounds now. had hubby step on who is almost 200 and it showed him at 101. need another scale but it wont be this one.
Question: Can this battery be used for a trolling motor
Answer: YES. If the next weight measurement is taken within 30 seconds, and is within about 0.55 lbs from the last measurement, the scale simply displays the last measurement from memory. I have tested this and confirmed this to be true.

User questions & answers

Question: what are the dimensions of this battery
Answer: Also called a group 24 battery as that size (group 24) should fit in most all group 24 battery applications like mobility scooters
Question: How long does a charge last
Answer: Yes, in fact that is the reason I purchased this battery, I use it on a trolling motor for my canoe. For a trolling motor a true deep-cycle battery is perfect since you don't need any cold-cranking amps. Most marine batteries are a hybrid battery now as they are designed for boats with a standard engine and a starter just like your car. For a regular gas/diesel engine boat, you don't need a lot of cold-cranking amps (CCA), since most boats run in the warmer weather, but you do need some to get the engine started. This deep-cycle battery is really for an all-electric application, electric golf cart, trolling motor, wheelchair, etc... The advantage of a pure deep cycle battery is the fact that it is made to be run to almost a full discharge (but don't actually fully discharge it, it will reduce the battery life). Do yourself a favor and get a "trickle charger" or battery tender that can keep the battery topped off when not in use, but won't overcharge it. Most modern "trickle chargers" have settings for variable charging, will detect when the battery is full, will adjust the charge rate to just keep the flow enough to keep the battery charged in storage, but not overcharge it. Keeping the battery charged will extend the life of the battery. One major factor to look at is the weight. I chose the 75AH battery to balance battery run-time versus its 49lbs weight. The 100AH battery would last longer on the water, but it weighs 64lbs which is quite a difference not only in the canoe, but just to move it around in and out of the house. These batteries are heavy. If you want more info search for "trolling motor run times" or "best deep cycle batteries", just be sure it is a *true* deep cycle battery. The calculations for run-time are more complicated than you think, but you can figure it out. The digital trolling motors do a better job of regulating amps and most have variable speeds so you can extend your run time by running at a low or medium setting instead of full-out all the time on the water. i.e. my digital motor has a dial for 0-100% power. If you run at 100% 75AH@42amps (the 45lbs pulls 42 amps@100%) = ~1.7 hours, but if you run at 50% power (theoretical 21 amp pull) 75AH/21amps = 3.6 hours. It's hard to get real numbers, but you can ballpark it. I find that even with the calculations it usually runs a bit longer than what you calculated since I don't think 50% is actually pulling 21 amps. Trying to get real numbers of what amps are being used at 40% power for instance is quite hard. Good luck.

User questions & answers

Question: is it arrives fully assembled
Answer: Its a mystery. There is nothing printed on the product or on the tag that was attached to the tool. All I know is that it is a UK company.
Question: Does anyone know which anti tip bars work with this wheelchair
Answer: The product itself, is not marked as manufacturing location. The company, Shanghai Worth Garden Products Co., Ltd. was established in 2000 with Headquarters in Shanghai, China. It's largest manufacturing facility is in Shanghai. Distribution points in US - Los Angels, and Germany. The quality of the product and finish are very good. It is a simple clean out tool for under shrubs and other plants. I would purchase again
Question: what is the weight of the wheelchair
Answer: Never ordered this particular item. Did order small hand rake to pick up fields from llama manure.
Question: is assembly required
Answer: Not recommended. I found a long handle brush used to scrape snow off of your windshield works best (HM 24" Scraper/Snow Style: 77645). Most likely available at an auto parts store.

Universal Power Group 12V 32Ah U1 Wheelchair Scooter Gel Battery

Universal Power Group

Based on 16 reviews Check latest price

Product description

This 12V deep cycle battery can be used as a UPS backup battery, telecom, mobility scooter battery, and a host of other applications. This deep cycle GEL battery is spill proof and can be placed into service on its side!

Please do not confuse this sealed Gel battery with its superior cousin, the sealed AGM battery. Despite what the competition may suggest, these batteries are not the same. They have different charge profiles meaning if your charger is designed for an AGM battery it will over charge this Gel battery or if your charger is set for Gel and you use an AGM battery it will be perpetually under charged.
