Answer:	Since sliding doors design vary based upon manufacturer it's hard to accurately answer this request. However, if you can adhere both items of this product side by side - one being stationary, the other being the movable piece, then it will work just fine. In other words, when the sliding door is in the closed position, you must be able to install this product in such a way that when the door is opened, the two pieces "break contact" with one another thereby sounding the very loud and high-pitched alarm. Answer:	There is just a switch. The item that looks like a big button on the front is not a button. I believe it is just the speaker. The switch is a standard sliding switch. If children could reach it, they could turn it off, depending on their age and the location of the alarm. On doors, these are usually mounted at the top of the door, well out of reach of children in normal circumstances. The alarms are also pretty small (about 2.5 inches long), so they don't attract much attention.

Question:	whats the difference between these and the nx650n
Answer:	I was not able to get this sensor to work becuause I was not able to access the installer menu. You have to enter the installer menu to tell the system to "learn" that there is a new sensor installed.You need to know IF you can access the installer menu (requires a special code) before you order any new wireless sensor or else (like me) you will not be able to use it. We ended up replacing the entire GE system with a DSC system from ADT. The DSC system has hard wired door sensors so we do not have to worry about batteries and wireless codes etc.

Answer:	Each time you press the volume button , it raises the sound..and then it will loop back to low..after reaching the high again..so you have to figure out which is the highest sound.

Answer:	If the chime does not work: 1. Make sure push button switch is pressed down and held for at least 1 second. 2. Verify battery installation is correct, noting polarity. 3. Try a fresh battery in push button. 4. Make sure chime is no further than 150 feet away from push button. 5. Ensure push button is not mounted on metal, near metal studs or near the floor. 6. Try a new location for the chime. 7. If the chime and push button(s) do not operate, repeat the electronic pairing process of the push button(s) to the chime in steps A-F below: A. To clear settings: Press and hold the pairing button on the bottom of the chime while installing the third battery. B. Once the last battery is installed, release the pairing button. C. Question:	I purchased 2 systems & placed in adjacent condos. The buttons ring both bells. Can they be programmed. No longer have instructions
Answer:	Requires 3 C batteries for the main part of the bell, and 2 2032 batteries for each button. The 2032 batteries are included in the unit.
