Answer:	No-it does not waste tape-I have had many labelers over time and this is the easiest to use efficiently.

Answer:	This printer has a wonderful imaging model that scales to arbitrary sizes. I tested this and quit after printing 15 lines of text on a 6-mm tape! The lines were too tiny to read, of course, but the point is that the number of lines is limited by legibility, not by the software - which is the way it should be.

Answer:	If you haven't purchased it, don't! I tried the first one, worked for hours to wire it up and did everything right-checking wiring with a multimeter. I sent back the first one, got another, same results. recommend you consider the Master Lock 4843DATSEN. It took me more time to open the package than hook it up. It works great and does what I need-enable me to back up with the ball under the hitch the first time. If you already bought it, good luck, and you can connect it to your running lights if you want, it just needs 12 volts.

I have been labeling for the past 18 months using paper labels and most of the time the letters have not faded. Answer:	Hello, this is Anna from DYMO Consumer Care. Thank you for contacting us regarding our LabelManager 160. If a LabelManager 160 shows you a “Label Jam!” message it may mean three things. First, you have got a physical label jam in your printer. Please open the cassette compartment and make sure that the roller on one of the walls of the machine is white. If it is not, please use tweezers to remove the jam. Second, the power is low – replace the batteries with brand new ones. Third, the device needs a factory reset. In order to reset your device to factory settings, please follow the steps: Turn the device off. Press the following three buttons simultaneously: Backspace + 9 + on/off (press and hold first two keys and then press third one). You should see the words “Erasing” appear on the screen if the step was done correctly. The device has now been reset to factory settings. Answer:	It prints up to two lines on a 1/2" and 3/8" tape. Although there are six text sizes available, the text sizes depend on the label width you have selected. The 1/2" tape can handle 8, 10 and 12 point text size; the 3/8" only handles 8 and 10 point text size. I hope I didn't confuse you. You can print the "User Guide" from the DYMO website.

Answer:	You can print a flag type label for any diameter cable. You specify the cable diameter and flag size and the printer works out the total length of the label.You can use the vinyl or nylon cloth material.

Answer:	It hooks up to computers and you have to download the software but then you can type up labels on your computer and they will print directly from this machine.
