I have installed 2 and they both got confused and played 1 mp3 for front and rear...some kinda' glitch...but eventually you'll get it to work. Be patient.
Question:	Has anyone experienced random rings, e.g. interference? How do you prevent it
Answer:	I have had random rings. I fixed it be removing the jumpers that are used for the wireless doorbell button control. I have mine hardwired to the button at my front door so the jumpers are not needed. The radio frequency of my neighbors truck key fob was setting off my chime. A few times when he unlocked his truck, my door bell would ring. But now that I removed those jumpers, not once has it happened again.

Answer:	If the chime does not work: 1. Make sure push button switch is pressed down and held for at least 1 second. 2. Verify battery installation is correct, noting polarity. 3. Try a fresh battery in push button. 4. Make sure chime is no further than 150 feet away from push button. 5. Ensure push button is not mounted on metal, near metal studs or near the floor. 6. Try a new location for the chime. 7. If the chime and push button(s) do not operate, repeat the electronic pairing process of the push button(s) to the chime in steps A-F below: A. To clear settings: Press and hold the pairing button on the bottom of the chime while installing the third battery. B. Once the last battery is installed, release the pairing button. C. Question:	I own a very similar sl-6157-a-tx, which just died after about 20 years. will the sl-6157-d activate my four existing receivers
Answer:	It is limited as far as distance and number of walls between the transmitter and receiver. I tried it in a situation where it was on the opposite side of a wall and the line of site with that part of the wall made it extremely intermittent. If it was on the near side of the wall, I could have heard the original doorbell. Sorry for the news, I haven't tried it in a few other possible situations, but I'm not hopeful.
Question:	A different model sti-3300 requires wiring the transmitter to your existing bell. does the sl-7357 not require any wiring? lots of bad reviews
Answer:	No wiring required. Just place the transmitter on top of your doorbell and plug the other part in and you’re ready to go. I plugged mine in the backyard and it works great.

Answer:	I'm not sure about my model or yours. However, I purchased based on size and it fit my chime perfectly. Doing a remodel someone threw my cover out. Rather than replace the chime I tied this cover and it fit perfectly. msjones_1

Answer:	It is designed to snap on to the old fitting, but in my case, this cover was larger than the previous fitting (which is from the 1960s). However, we did make this one work by drilling holes, and attaching to the wall with screws.
Question:	Can this be installed vertically to match the hole in my wall currently
Answer:	My chime is 5x7 also. It came with a small pin I guess that would go into your chime unit...if u have a small pin hole in it. My chime does not have that so I have the cover just "sitting" on chime with nothing holding it in place. My cover/chime is not in a high traffic so I was ok with it just sitting on chime. I am happy with it. Hope this helps.
