There are 2 warnings for battery power, but instructions say to replace batteries yearly even without seeing warning. Answer:	The web site is mistaken. The ladder extends to 15.5 ft...but would only get a person up safely to about 11 ft. Need good amount of lean onto the building and up a foot or so past the roofline. Don't go near the top rung to stand. I do enjoy the ladder and its compact feature when not in use. If you are over 200 lbs, you will need the most sturdy ladder they make. At 180, this does have a bit of bow when I am on it. Hope this helps. LTD

To readjust the ladder to a lower height it’s quite easy to collapse the ladder the raise to that new height.

Answer:	The base and steps are both plywood. The supporting columns are made out of hard plastic with pre-drilled, metal screw holes, definitely more sturdy than cardboard.

Answer:	I can't really answer this question, other than I know the stairs come in two different sizes, the 3-step and the 4-step. I have one of each. Our aging cat seems to have no problem with either. In fact she doesn't even use the bottom step on the 4 high steps. She jumps down from the second step up. I know dogs tend to be a little less agile than cats. I would say for a dog that has really short legs or can't 'step up' much or at all, something of a ramp might work better..or build your own...?? Sorry, that's the best I can do.
