Answer: | I'm not sure the original thermistor will handle the heat of a wood stove, it is rubber coated. But with that said,with the thermistor at the max on my chart 110*C the resistance is down to 713 ohms. 60 feet of # 22 wire is about 1 ohm, # #24 is about 1.5 ohms, So the temperature error introduced by the extra wire is less than 0.02%. |

Answer: | The answer is yes and no. Technically, you can run a heat and cooling cycle at the same time. The trigger temperature can be any temperature. But, the trigger temperatures for cooling and heating can not be more than 20C (36F) apart.All the information is in the included instructions, but the setting of this unit is not very easy to understand.There are two temperatures to set. The first one is the middle (or set) temperature. Nothing is actually triggered at this temperature.The second setting is the difference temperature. this is a +/- plus and minus temperature.So, if you want the heat to turn on at 15C (59F) and the cooling to turn on at 25C (77F), you need to "set" the temperature at 20C and the program the difference temperature at 5C; 20C +/-5C. The cooling relay is triggered at 25C. The heat relay is triggered at 15C. (Nothing is triggered at 20C)Seems strange, but that's how it works.See how easy?If you are using this for only one trigger, keep the difference setting as low as you can (0.3C?), and then the middle or set temperature becomes the trigger temperature for heat or cool. |

Answer: | I've been using this controller for some time now on my keezer and fermentation chamber. Recently experienced a power outage at my house that lasted over 72hours. The unit does maintain settings both when manually powered down as well as if power is interrupted from the outlet. But even better than that, when the power came back the unit retained that it was in the "on" setting and turned back on without needing to be manually turned on. I have built out a few of these units for my needs as well as for friends. I love them. |

Answer: | It displays the actual temperature, you don't see the temperature preset unless you go to the program setting mode. Just remember, it only displays celcius. I have another thermometer in my cooler that displays the temperature in farenheit. It was a fun project to wire and set up. Answer: | This will form the basis for the control. The solid state relay that is listed has a 24V -200+ volt output switch for AC power. If you are using a DC (Battery) to supply the lights it won't work directly. Replacing the output relay with one that can handle 12 V will allow it to work. You could power the powersupply for the bulbs through this relay but the response will be delayed and your PID would be hard to program. |

Answer: | With the wattage and amperage it says it can supply it should easily be able to handle 2 lamps. Just run a strip off the plug and only have them 2 lamps controlled by the thermostat. AGAIN, as long as it will handle what they say it can handle. A 100watt bulb should only pull just under 1 amp. |

Temperature controller is actual Heating/Cooling controller, thus MUST SET ON-Temp to turn ON Heating/Cooling, and MUST SET OFF-Temp to turn OFF Heating/Cooling.
Heating starts at LOW Temp [ON-Temp(1oN, 2oN)], stops at HIGH Temp [OFF-Temp(1oF, 2oF)], thus for heating MUST SET 1oN(2oN) LESS than 1oF(2oF);
In heating mode, 1oN(2oN) is the minimum temp you allow, 1oF(2oF) is the maximum temp you allow.
Cooling starts at HIGH Temp [ON-Temp(1oN, 2oN)], stops at LOW Temp [OFF-Temp(1oF, 2oF)], thus for cooling MUST SET 1oN(2oN) GREATER than 1oF(2oF).
In cooling mode, 1oN(2oN) is the maximum temp you allow, 1oF(2oF) is the minimum temp you allow.
2. Reading temp is inaccurate?
Every Pymeter controller is calibrated before come out of factory, it is reading temp accurately!
Please don't compare it to common inaccurate thermostat、thermometer or temp gun. If you doubt Pymeter controller accuracy, please calibrate with ice-water mixture (it is 32F when ice is melting), and you will see which device is accurate then.
3. Beeper keeps sounding?
Probably it is the Alarm settings ( AL、AH、d7 ) you set are NOT the right temperature you want. AL is low temperature alarm(it sounds when current temp is AL or Lower), AH is high temperature alarm(it sounds when current temp is AH or Higher), d7 is difference alarm(it sounds when the temp deviation between sensor 1 and sensor 2 is over d7). If you don't need alarm function, please don't change the values of AL、AH、d7, the default values usually won't trigger alarm. You can factory reset by switching temp unit from F to C in setting.

Question: | can the temperature probe be submerge in liquid? I want to use it for my slow cooker for sous vide cooking |
Answer: | I use this device to measure the water temperature in my old fashioned ceramic crock slow cooker by filling the crock with water, placing the probe into the water and setting the temperature to on at low setting and off at high setting. I plug the slow cooker into the thermometer, and turn it on high to get to temperature(adding hot water from the sink to shorten this wait time) then low for cooking. It measures the temp of the water very accurately and I've been able to cook vacuum sealed meats in the water to the desired temperature. I have had 3 out of 3 successful cooking events using this method. |
