Answer:	I purchased a 2-pack of the green LAX balls in March 2019... HOLY BLOODY SMELLY MESS. They reek of raw garlic and burnt plastic. I can smell them from 10 feet away. I washed them in dishwashing liquid and the smell is so off-putting it almost triggers nausea. Next up i’m going to try a simple paste of baking soda and water to see if that helps. It is really unbearable and the smell transfers to my hands every time I pick them up. I am so annoyed. The previous lacrosse balls i’ve purchased from amazon have had only a mild “new rubber” smell that dissipated quickly.

Answer:	I can't speak for all the colors, but the three I have seen (white, yellow, & orange) all appear to be the same hardness. Not all the stores stock the various colors, so my guess is the different prices are availability related, not a difference in the ball.
