14 best swim training fins
Swim training fins are a type of training equipment used in swimming to enhance propulsion, technique, and strength during training sessions. These fins are designed to be worn on the feet and mimic the shape and function of a fish's fin. They are typically made of rubber or silicone and come in various sizes to accommodate different foot sizes and skill levels.
The primary purposes of swim training fins include:
Improving Technique: Fins can help swimmers refine their kicking technique, body position, and overall form in the water. The increased surface area of the fin blade provides more resistance and allows swimmers to focus on their kicking motion.
Increasing Propulsion: Fins augment the power and speed of a swimmer's kick by providing additional thrust in the water. This added propulsion can be particularly beneficial during drills and speed sets.
Building Leg Strength: Wearing swim training fins adds resistance to leg movements, helping swimmers build strength in their leg muscles, including the quadriceps, hamstrings, and calf muscles.
Aiding in Rehabilitation: Fins can be used in rehabilitation exercises, especially for swimmers recovering from injuries. The buoyancy and support provided by fins can aid in low-impact exercises and gentle swimming to aid recovery.
Enhancing Endurance: Training with fins can help swimmers improve their endurance by allowing them to maintain a consistent, efficient kicking motion over longer distances.
It's essential to choose the right size and type of fins based on your skill level, swimming goals, and the specific activity you intend to perform. Beginners may start with shorter, more flexible fins, while advanced swimmers might opt for longer, stiffer fins to challenge their strength and technique.
Swim training fins are a valuable tool in a swimmer's training arsenal, offering a versatile way to improve various aspects of swimming performance and technique. As with any exercise equipment, proper usage and adherence to safety guidelines are crucial to derive maximum benefits and prevent injuries.

Product description
Swim training fins have many useful benefits, including use in physical rehabilitation, aqua aerobics, fitness swimming and competitive training. Using a smaller training fin provides added resistance without overloading the muscles joints, ligaments and tendons used in water exercise. Many fitness and competitive swimmers use long scuba/snorkel fins as a training aid. Because the center of effort in a long fin is forward of the foot, the excessive blade area and displaced center of effort may cause early fatigue or cramping, and encourage a "pedaling" motion different than that used in a flutter kick. The concept of the short training fin was conceived to bring the center of effort back to the foot, increase leg strength, and allow a swimmer to train with a kicking motion that is the same as the flutter kick without a fin.

User questions & answers
Question: | size 6.5 - Do I order a xsmall or a small? I'm sorry - I can't find the size chart |
Answer: | no |
Question: | I wear 11.5 shoes. What would be a good size in this flipper? Your size char only shows small sizes |
Answer: | The US sizes listed are men's, so for a 9 1/2 I would order 8.5-9.5 (43/44) and for a women's 8 I would order a 5.5-6.5 (39/40) I purchased the 10/11 for my husband who wears a 10 and he could wear his water sock under them. |
Question: | My 10 year old daughter's foot length is 9 inches. What size should I get |
Answer: | Unfortunately, I don't have a pair of these to measure, but I'm pretty sure the only other response which says 10.0" is incorrect. A US men's size 8 is a Euro 41 which equals about 10". I can see from the photo that the fin adds several inches beyond the length of the foot pocket, so I estimate that they're about 16-17" long. I'd like to know the actual total length, too, though. Maybe someone else who owns a pair can provide a more accurate measurement? |
Question: | What size fits a child shoe size |
Answer: | No depth adjustment on this gun. Never had any issues with the nails setting though. Have quite a few of these guns that are in use every day. They work great. Highly recommend this nail gun. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Us 10 d men's shoe (nike, etc.); 9.5 d dress shoes. should i opt for the 8.5-9.5 fins |
Answer: | Comes with "Certificate of Authenticity", and registration is with something called a FB messenger app scan code (don't know). Warranty information from Protiga (manufacturer) is through that picture code. The Fins are very comfortable for pool laps. I do put the "fin pads" in the fins when not in use so that shape remains stable. The sizes run large so I re-ordered a Med (7-8 on fin) for my size 8.5-9.0 foot. Thank you. |
Question: | I wear a size 12-12.5 tennis shoe. what size would i be? thanks i didn’t see a sizing chart |
Answer: | No. They fit really nice . I swim masters. And they have to much flex for kick sets . |
Question: | My son is 5y old... What size is for him |
Answer: | Size 3-5 |
Question: | Do these fins float |
Answer: | Blue/purple (XXXXS) is size 6-8, and blue/lime green (XXXS) is size 8-11. They run slightly small but pretty close to true size (I own several pairs and keep buying up as my 3 kids grow). I think you'll be fine with blue/lime green with some growing room. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I am beginner,I swim to deep end of pool to hold pipes to take rest and then comeback, in case of wearing peddles dangerously I wont be able to hold |
Answer: | Probably could but is it sturdy enough. That would be the question. The structure itself seems sturdy but will the elastic, securing your hand on the paddle, hold up. |
Question: | Will these work for floating on a tube down the river to maneuver yourself in the right direction |
Answer: | Length 7” Width 5 1/4” I only know the small size because that is what I bought. |
Question: | What are both edge to edge dims (length x width) of the respective sizes (S,M,L) of the paddles please |
Answer: | Paddles like these are used for strength training. You shouldn't be buying them to "fit" your hand. You should be buying them to increase your strength. The larger the paddle, the harder it is to pull through the water, therein giving your arms a harder workout. I bought the medium size, but I'm getting stronger, so I now need the larger size to increase my strength even more. All these paddles are designed to fit any hand size, male, female, doesn't matter. Choose the size based on how strong you are. |
Question: | What hand measurements apply to each paddle size? please use actual numbered measurements |
Answer: | Dear friend, i'm afraid not. The headband is matched with this bath wrap, and sold together |

Question: | The item weight is specified as 3.52 Ounces. Is this correct |
Answer: | You should purchase your flippers one size larger than your regular shoe size. If you wear 12 -12.5 then your flipper should be 13.5 to 14 to fit. It depends on how wide your feet are. If not so wide then a size 13 to 13.5 would work. I have wide feet which is why I suggested 13.5 to 14. |

Short Blade Swim Fins
Flow Short Blade Fins are an essential part of your swim gear for cardio training, swim training, and building leg strength. They are formulated with natural and synthetic rubber to be comfortable and feature a closed heel which helps prevent hyper-flexion. The short fin design allows for a higher kick frequency so you can maintain arm and kick tempo while training at a race pace. And, because these fins float, they help to elevate the legs into the correct body position while training. These fins are suitable for recreational and competitive youth swimmers. Fins are color coded and available in multiple sizes for boys, girls, young men, and women.
Short Blade Design
Built with a short blade that allows you to keep your kick pace up and simulate race conditions.
Closed Heel
Closed heel design keep fins secure and prevents hyper-flexion during workouts.
Extra Grip
Non-slip tread helps prevent slipping when pushing off walls.
