Answer:	the horse shoe set is steel. I know $40 can be a lot of money for a horse shoe set, but this has been an awesome set for me. I leave them outside in the wet grass, and they've never cracked or broken. I've never had a problem.

Answer:	Sorry - I have to disagree with earlier (too simplistic) answers. Basically, you really can't use them effectively on a beach. The posts are too dang short. By the time you get them to hold in anything they would be very short to shoot to or to really grab a shoe even if you toss a perfect ringer. The shoes are just a perfect mid-weight - I've had heavier and lighter, but these cut the fine line between women and kids being able to use and not being shut out of playing as well. Wanna play on a beach - by plastic shoes perhaps . . . with longer posts regardless. IF you want to use the shoes on a home "court" - that's what I'm doing and they are 5 star for that !

Answer:	Not sure i follow your ? But if you cement the pole the bottom piece of three will have to stay in the cement. i put mine in and old tire with cement

Answer:	I am not very good with things like that, but my pole is in the ground; I am 5'2", and when I look up, it looks to be at least another 5'. The pole is also adjustable, so you can raise or lower it. I hope this helps.
