Answer:	This bag has a heavy exterior canvas like material, similar to that used for pager cases, glove pouches and other EMS related items, but the interior is a thick vinyl which will keep your supplies dry and also adds a little stiffness to the outer material. the nylon "canvas" and vinyl are bonded together, it is not 2 separate layers. The compartment dividers were a bit less than I expected but it still practical. It is sewn together well at common stress points, has a stiff handle and strong zippers. You won't be disappointed with this bag. Stay safe Cowgirl!!

Answer:	No, we would not recommend that you machine wash this bag as this may damage the material. You would be better off just spot cleaning it with a damp rag.
