Answer:	This is a clear view spotting scope. It does not have a ranging feature in the reticle.

Answer:	Yes. Mine came with plastic lens covers and a neoprene cover. The neoprene cover limits the rotation of the scope a little but it's worth it for the protection it offers. It also has neoprene covers at each end that quickly pop off when you want to use the scope. They use a elastic type cords to hold them in place and then they hang down when removed and easily go back on.

Attach the Eyepiece

To attach the eyepiece, match the white line on the eyepiece with white dot on the bayonet fitting. Insert the eyepiece into the body and rotate clockwise a ¼ turn until the eyepiece clicks into place and is lined up with the indicator line.

Mount the Viper HD

Attach the Viper HD to a tripod or car window mount for steady viewing. Simply secure the tripod mount foot on a quick-release plate or directly into the mounting plate receiver of certain tripod heads.The tripod foot attaches to a tripod or car window mount with 1/4” x 20 screw threads.

Adjust the Magnification

Versatile zoom magnification allows you to view a wide field of view at a lower power and zoom in on details at a higher power. Change the magnification by turning the magnification adjustment ring:

• Increase the magnification by turning the adjustment ring clockwise.

• Decrease the magnification by turning the adjustment ring counter-clockwise.

Adjust the Focus

After setting the magnification, some refocusing is usually required. To adjust the focus, rotate the focus dial until images becomes clear.

Attach the Eyepiece

Before attaching the eyepiece, remove any covers that would interfere with attaching the eyepiece to the spotting scope body.

• To attach the eyepiece, insert the eyepiece into the body and rotate clockwise using the ribbed ring on the eyepiece until the eyepiece is tight (stops rotating).

• To detach the eyepiece, hold the ribbed ring and turn the eyepiece counterclockwise.

Adjust the Magnification

Change your spotting scope’s magnification by simply turning the magnification adjustment ring.

Answer:	If your question is about automobile window mounts, the short answer is "YES"! However, you will want to search for spotting scope/binos window mounts with 1/4" X 20 TPI (standard tripod screw) attaching bolt. I did not not find one on Athlon Optics web site. Enjoy the scope.

Answer:	Yes, the little foot at the bottom is threaded. I usually use it on a different tripod instead but I was able to screw the plate from the trigger sticks into it.
