Answer:	300 pounds is what the manual says, but it's probably more reasonable for someone of less weight

Answer:	A lot depends on where you intend to "hang" your bubble. In my finished basement room the above floor joists are TGI beams. I took a piece of 2x8 long enough to span the perpendicular width of 3 TGI beams (40" long board, beams are 16" on center). In the middle of the 2x8 I drilled and mounted an eye ring rated to more than twice my weight(230lbs). On the top and bottom of the eye ring I put some fender washers and bolted it together with a lock nut. I left a little "play" in the ring so it could spin freely. Then placed the 2x8 across the beams and marked where to drill through it. To hold the 2x8 in place I shot a couple of finish nails through it into the TGI beams. I drilled (4) 3/8" pilot holes and installed (4) 4"x1/2" lag bolts with washers into the TGI beam. I use an S-hook to attach the Back Bubble spring. In my office I have standard ceiling rafters with an 8' height, and picked up (2) 4"x 1/2" hooks rated at 225lbs each. Drilled a pilot hole and installed one hook drilled a second hole and installed the second hook as close as possible to the first hook. The Back Bubble ring fits perfectly onto the hooks. At my Daughters house the finished basement has a drop ceiling. I moved a ceiling square out of the way and mounted an eye bolt sideways through the rafter near the bottom, with a fender washer on each side right and left. Then locked it all into place with a lock nut. It works great and her landlord will never know its there. :) Hope this helps,
