Prevents Corrosion: Some carbon cleaners have rust-prevention properties, helping to protect the firearm from corrosion.
Ease of Use: Carbon cleaners come in various forms, such as sprays, foams, or solvents, making them easy to apply and use for cleaning.
Non-Damaging to Firearm: They are typically designed not to damage the finish or materials of the firearm.
When using a carbon cleaner for guns, it's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and safety precautions. Proper gun maintenance, including regular cleaning with a carbon cleaner, is essential for responsible gun ownership, ensuring the firearm remains in good working condition and safe to use.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this water based |
Answer: | Ingredients aren't listed on bottle but it seems to be water based but not 100% sure. It suds up when sprayed on and has no odor. Use it on my rifles and pistols and works great. |
Question: | I assume it is okay if this solvent gets in the striker channel since it is not an oil based cleaner, and therefore will not attract carbon correct |
Answer: | I have cleaned striker channel using various gun cleaners with a q-tip no problem. I have even used clp just be sure to dry as much as you can with a q-tip. If you are talking about getting some in striker channel like over spray I wouldn't worry. If you get a lot in, the striker on most striker fired pistols are easy enough to remove anyway to dry. |
Question: | Do you have to use oil after using this or is it an "all in one" cleaner that also lubricates the bore at the same time |
Answer: | no oil in this cleaner which is the smartest way to clean you firearm. you only want to slightly lubricate very specific parts. This is great stuff, but buy your oil separately! |
Question: | Is this an oil based cleaner |
Answer: | It is actually an alcohol based solvent. The main ingredient is diethylene glycol monobutyl ether. This is also known as Eastman DB Solvent. It is biodegradable and is based on either ethylene glycol (antifreeze) or propylene glycol (the base in cough syrup) Obviously, ethylene glycol is toxic if ingested, whereas propylene glycol is not toxic. For the best answers, look on the M-Pro-7 site, www.mpro7.com, where you find a FAQ and an MSDS sheet that lists its hazards & toxicity (pretty well none)I have found this to be an excellent cleaner, doesn't harm my sights or grips. No, I have no financial interests in M-Pro-7, nor am I a representative of the company. Just an avid shooter that likes to keep my toys clean & functionalHope this answered some of your concerns |

User questions & answers
Question: | It has toxic smell |
Answer: | I don't know the specific numerical answer. But I just checked a new, unused tube. The actual make-up, when fully extended, measures a little less than 5/8" high and the circumference is a little less than 3/4". It has a dense texture so a little does go a fairly long way. I hope this helps! |
Question: | What’s the total hieght with the sprayer? I want to fit this into my 50cal ammo can |
Answer: | You can but I haven’t and it’s works wonderful 💕 |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this the same as the Slip 2000 Carbon Cleaner |
Answer: | The only way that I can answer this question is with absolute honesty and without any reservations. Slip 2000 Carbon Killer is worthless. The only thing it killed was $20 out of my wallet. Here's the story. I wanted to clean my shotguns choke tubes and gas piston. I followed the directions faithfully as stated on the bottle and the results were zero. So I then soaked the parts overnight in the same solution and the results were still zero. I then purchased 3 or 4 well-known highly rated firearms cleaning products. The results were about 5% effective. A little disgruntled I then pursued a different avenue. To make a long story short, here is what works with amazing results. You're still going to have to use a brass or stainless cleaning brush. The product is made by Kano Labs and product is Kroil and it will clean the toughest carbon deposits with just a little scrubbing effort. This answer is not to offend any manufacturer or anyone, but the truth is the truth. |
Question: | has anyone compared this to m7 pro cleaner |
Answer: | I have used it on my blued HK 40, HK .357SIG, & Springfield .45 without any damage or discoloration. Just make sure to dry the barrel and apply lube since product is water based. I use a dab of Slip's EWL and all appears well . Do the same with mt AR 15 bolts. |
Question: | can this be used safely on stainless steel firearms |
Answer: | Not completely. But if you put solution in another container it would. Does work well on built up carbon. |
Question: | When using 725, does it have to be rinsed off with anything or doesit air dry. Also is it ok to use on the ploymer parts of the gun |
Answer: | Cool Undertone: Look for shades that include tan, shell, beige. Between the two I would recommend Ivory. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it safe for gun blueing |
Answer: | I believe that it won't hurt blueing, but I try not to get bore cleaner on external surfaces when cleaning my guns, so I don't really have advice to give. It did not have any effect on blueing at the barrel muzzle when patches were inserted into the bore. |
Question: | Is this good at removing lead buildup |
Answer: | Yes, but it is not a harsh solvent so dwell time is important. For neglected bores I would recommend a Lewis Lead Remover kit. |
Question: | Will this cause rust |
Answer: | Yes it will cause rust of you don’t reapply oil onto the surface after using it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do you have to air dry this off? Will it rust if not fully dried |
Answer: | Will air dry quickly if you let it sit. I will normally spray on, scrub and then wipe off. What doesn’t wipe off will air dry. I have been using 725 for about three years and have used it on several different polymer weapons/parts with no issues. Cleans very well without all the time of cleaning up your cleaner. |
Question: | directions say rince off when done do you rince off with water on gunparts |
Answer: | No, but I suggest washing your hands after use like any other weapon cleaning product |
Question: | Does it have an expiry date? How long is it good for |
Answer: | I don’t know the measurements but this will defiantly fit your .50 cal ammo can the bottles smaller than you think. Shorter than a Monster energy can. |
Question: | does it smell a little bit like windex |
Answer: | YES this works great for helping with cutting through carbon.. I use it for cleaning the bolt in my AR when we have a 500+ round day and only takes a couple minutes to get it all cleaned up like brand new again. I wish I had this when I was in the service and cleaning my 240, 249, and 60... |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this more or less effective than hoppes elite gun cleaner |
Answer: | My perspective is that while there may be some differences in different 'models' , Costs have had very large jumps in recent years. Some venders may be liquidating old inventory. |
Question: | Is this product safe for wooden stocks |
Answer: | The M60 worked great on my skull DRY. (These shavers are rated for wet cleaning, but last longer/shave closer used dry. For shower shaving, I've only used Remington Wet/Dry models with any good results, but that's me.) Did need a trimmer for where the spine attaches to the skull, but I have an injury that makes my "well" deeper. |
Question: | Can i clean my fail zero nib bolt with this stuff |
Answer: | Hate to say this as a loyal Braun user for 30 years, but I buy the $15 Panasonic shaveronce a year. I get a better shave, and a whole new shaver for the cost of a foil!! |
Question: | Is this product supposed to look like soapy water? Foam bubbles on top |
Answer: | I've used the 9090 for both wet and dry shaves now for over a year. Shaver works fine with absolutely no problems in either situation despite the caution that it is not a "wet/dry" shaver. Just be sure to clean the gel, cream residue off head and blades before placing into the cleaning station--that goes for both shavers. Summary, 9090 works perfectly regardless of how you shave. |
Question: | Hola cuantos cartuchos en total es el paquete? 4 o |
Answer: | you can use ac adaptur to charge it without cleaning base |
Question: | Does this works for Braun 9-9095cc |
Answer: | Average cleaning frequency for me is every 3-5 days. I found that if you remove the cleaning cassette from the cleaning station between cleanings, and snap the closure cap back on, you can easily triple (or more!) the life of the cassette. There is a sensor of some kind that eventually shuts the station down until you place a fresh cassette of cleaner fluid in the station whether it is low on fluid or not... but it is fooled by the "remove and cap" strategy (which also prevents evaporation of the cleaning fluid). |
Question: | Do you have Part 81341814 for the series 7 shaver |
Answer: | My beard is heavy and I replaced the cutter head cassette after about 9 months. I have been a Braun user for two decades now and I do believe they make the BEST shavers; BUT this replacement head situation pricing situation is making me think about switching to another brand. In Nov. 2015 I purchased the Braun 9095 and an additional head (the 90B-black head was the only one available) at $69.50 (Amazon), currently Amazon is showing two prices from suppliers ($99.99 and $219.40). I have heard that a NEW 92S head is becoming available in Europe, and in time, it may make it to the U.S. |
Question: | Does this work for Braun 760cc |
Answer: | Machine washable. We hand wash ours because it is used in an environment which may (does) include staples. |
Question: | What are the dimensions? What does it weigh? (The specs mention 5.6 shipping weight, but that includes packaging |
Answer: | The metal frame itself is 35'' wide, but the cotton threads are 41'' wide end to end. |
Question: | What is the difference between a braun m-60red and a m60blue? the m60red is twice the price of the blue model |
Answer: | The dustpan have built-in angle edge. You can throw it away. |
Question: | Which model is better for shower use, m90 or m60? And will either of these work on a skull |
Answer: | Yes, the broom head is 180 degree rotatable. |
Question: | Anyone find a refill for the red one? The foil broke |
Answer: | It is made in China I haven't had a problem with this broom and dustpan. |
Question: | Are there any benefits to getting the more expensive 9095 wet/dry version versus the 9090 version if I'm not planning on shaving in the shower |
Answer: | The handles are made of stainless steel material. It is sturdy enough for daily use. |
Question: | Does it have a way to charge when traveling on long trips or does it only charge in the cleaning base |
Answer: | I really don’t know the broom would not stay together and U returned it before I even used it. |
Question: | How many cleanings per pack |
Answer: | The broom is made with soft bristles, we suggest you use it on smooth surface. It is great for indoor use. |
Question: | Is there a reason the replacement heads aren't available |
Answer: | It ONLY comes with a broom. Package includes: A broom head and 3 stainless steel poles. Thanks for your question. |
