Answer:	Hi Diego, You really need to have a glass or plexiglass cover for this. The manufacturer recommends use over a glass aquarium panel, so I wouldn't trust possible exposure to water.

Q1: Can I use timer to control HyperReef LEDs?

Yes, HyperReef 50, 100 and 150 can be connected to an external 0-10V controller. You can use Kessil Spectral Controller X to control the lights if you have one. Please notice, we don't recommend you to use Kessil A-Series Spectral Controller currently (because the controller cannot turn off HyperReef white channel completely when we tested, minimum brightness is 5%). Our own 0-10V controller will go on sale in April. For HyperReef 30, you can buy our dual channel timer instead. Please do not buy our single channel timer, single channel timer pro and dual channel timer to connect with HyperReef 50, 100 and 150. They are not compatible.

Q2: Can I control HyperReef through Neptune Apex?

Yes, HyperReef 50, 100 and 150 can be controlled by Apex. But you need to connect a 3.5mm to RJ45 cable (not included) directly into your Apex Controller. You can buy Kessil 3.5mm to Neptune Apex Control cable or make your own cable instead. Below is the Apex DIY Cable Wiring diagram. Please notice, HyperReef 30 doesn't have 0-10V control ports. You can buy our dual channel timer instead.

Answer:	Unless you need the maximum output of the lights, the high would be more a factor of coverage. I have mine at 12" above the water. This has more spill over then I would like. At a height of 12", I get a strong coverage of 18" by 24" the water level. I would go higher and turn up the intensity if you need wider coverage.

Answer:	This unit is going to be overkill it very bright so tbh I'd start at 5 blues 5 whites for LPS and hang it at 12" off the water surface if you like more blue tint put whites on 1 they dont help grow corals anyways.

Answer:	I have run this on my 5 gallon tank for over a year with excellent results. Each of the 2 channels has an intensity/dimmer setting. I run mine at 10-15 for each of the two channels. The light is overpowered, but the price was right and let me buy a light that I could reuse on a larger tank in the future.

Question: How to set the timer?

Answer: Please kindly follow the manual instruction in the package which introduces how to set up the light with control knob or remote. If you are unable to set the timer, please feel free to reach us directly through Amazon message. Our friendly customer support team will walk you through the steps on how to set up the timer.

Question: How to raise the light up or lower the hanging height with the hanging kit?

Answer: You need to press on the top of the cylinder head while moving down the cords. This will allow you to adjust up/down for the hanging kit. You can adjust to the height by simply pulling the loose rope end. To release, depress the spring button pull it down. Please kindly refer to the 5th picture in the product images of the listing for 165W LED Aquarium Light.

Question: Does the timer work as a ramp timer? Can I set different intensities throughout the day?

Answer: The timer doesn’t work as a ramp timer and it can not be set different intensities throughout the day. No shimmer effect or sunrise/sunset effects. The timer can turn the light on and off automatically and set different intensities for two channels (blue and white channels) individually.

Question: How can reset the timer to the default setting?

Answer: Press the direction keys on the remote control, Up, Down, Left, Right (↑, ↓, ←, →）one by one and quickly reset the setting. When display 8888 on LCD screen, that's means you restore to facotory setting succesfully.

Question: When setting ch1 and ch2 dim settings. Do the settings save for when the timer comes back on the next day?

Answer: When you successfully set the time and intensity, they will be save and run as per your setting.

Answer:	No. On the current orbit LEDs they are all actnic blue. There are no purple nor violet LEDs on this fixture. There are high noon 6500 k and 12000 k whites on it though. I had very good results with this light be ran along t5 bulbs. I do not recommend running these lights by them selves on a larger tank
Question:	will the light penetrate to the bottom of a 24" tall aquarium
Answer:	LED are great specifically for deep tanks like that. Shouldnt be a problem getting to the bottom of a 24" tank although I would have to say this fixture may be a little underpowered if your trying to grow any corals on the sandbed. If that isnt the case you should be golden though. LED light usually doesnt start to diminish at all in PAR until 18" of water depth due to its higher focused nature as compared to T5 or hallide which depends on the quality of reflector used to get the light into the tank. This better focus also is what usually will make people say that LED looks very dim in comparison.. which is merely and optical illusion caused by the lack of light escaping the tank thru reflection and refraction, instead being focused more directly down.. in the direction you want it to go.
Question:	I know this isn't for Corals, but would my RBTA be happy under this
Answer:	Actually this device can support corals up to low light SPS (Place them higher up). However, yes this light absolutely can sustain a RBTA. Having the dual wavelengths seems to do wonders for mine. I recently switched from a quad T5 unit and his color and growth rate are fantastic! I had him near the top before and when I installed the light he moved down a bit but he has grown substantially.

Answer:	Yes and no it’s best results comes at 19inches but So this means you would just want to place your coral based on its photogenic needs. I would YouTube the pair values and make a call. I have mine on a 29 gallon and it’s 23 inches from light to sand bed and I have had nothing but success.

Answer:	Doing great for me. I upgraded the stock light on my Fluval Sea Evo 13.5 with this and all of my corals have shown much improvement in coloring, polyp extension, and growth rate. I have the following, and all of them are thriving under this light: acans, duncans, leptoseris, hammers, zoanthids, toadstool leather, birdsnest, favia, and favites. I also have some very beautiful flower anemones that are doing great. Granted, with the exception of the birdsnest, these are all LPS and softies. I recently ordered a second Hipargero light to run side-by-side with this one and will soon be putting in some acro and montis to see if the light can grow them with good coloration.

Question:	WHat is the transition time between modes
Answer:	Transition time depends on your spectrum chart. There are four modes if you use timer so please check the other transition times examples like how to set transition time on Radion Hydra or AI and set in your led accordingly. Only one thing you have remember that any spectrum in the light can’t go above 100% like Radion or AI led. So calculate accordingly about the spectrum %.

Answer:	Don’t know what 30w bracket looks like. But does come w hanging kit and metal arm kit. No clams for tank rim though. Which is odd. Awesome light otherwise.

Answer:	The item says it’ll throw a 24x24 footprint. So considering yours will likely need to be hung little lower for 18”, id think you would be looking at 4 of these to cover that size. Maybe 3 with a solid good on your tank. It’s super bright so no doubt it can create the par you’re looking for. The sunrise/sunset feature is nice and each spectrum is individually controllable. All great features for the price point. Just acclimate the corals if moving from cf bulbs. Start way low and ramp em up each week. They come with all the mounting hardware as well you would just need arms or cable hung from ceiling to attach them to.

Question:	How do you program the time with the 6/12/18 hour function? Do I need to press the 12h function at the time I want them to turn on
Answer:	You only need to press the button you want to set the time once, and it will light up on time every day without cutting off the power and turning off the light‘s switch button. The light flashes 3 times after you pressed the 12h button means the setting is successfully made.
Question:	Are the individual leds 1 watt each? if so, i am wondering about the intensity of the light at the bottom of the tank
Answer:	That would depend on depth of tank and intensity. I have the previous version and par was over around 450 full power 1 ft over 18" of water. It can pump out par at half power but as I said it will depend on the intensity of the channels

Question:	Is this item good for my 138 gallon corner tank
Answer:	I am using it on a 120 gallon tank. It is bright enough for general lighting needs. If you have corals you will probably need two. The real question is whether it will fit on your corner tank depending on the dimensions.
Question:	Will this fit over the SeaClear 40 acrylic tank
Answer:	Yes, the 36 inch light will work. There is also a bracket that you can buy separately so that the light is suspended from the back and gives you more elbow room to maintain your tank.
