Question:	What dimention battery does it take
Answer:	I got the Deer Feeder Elite, which has the feeder and timer. i bought a Moultrie MFHP12406 6-Volt, 5-Amp Rechargeable Safety Battery. i had a charger already. Any 6-volt cell (lantern type) will also work. and don't forget the corn/feed:) the elite has leg extensions (included) which lifts the barrel 8 feet, so think about adding 50lb of feed, or as i do back the truck up and add to the barrel small bucketfuls. Cheers.

Answer:	That’s interesting I have never had an issue. I would contact moultrie directly. Sound like a defective problem. Are you using the 6v big battery? If so I would recommend going to the newer design that runs on AA batteries. You can buy them at Walmart for $40 and it goes on just the same. Much better in my opinion.

Question:	I bought this to replace the clock on my Moultrie Hanging Feeder, but it doesn't fit the connectors on Moultrie. Does anybody have instruction
Answer:	Seems there should be two wires from your feeder with alligator clips. Connect those two wires to the timer and your timer connects to the battery. I lost my timer recently to a bear and don't remember exactly where the connections are on the timer.

Answer:	Side holes on Caged Tube Feeder are 1-3/4" x 1-1/2". Holes that curve on top are 1-3/4" wide at the base and of course get longer and narrower over the top. It may be squirrel proof but not raccoon proof. One of the two empties it during the night and throws it on the ground - prob'ly raccoon since it happens at night.

Spinner Plate

You could make a good case that the spinner plate is the most critical component in feeder performance. It may look simple, but a lot of thought went into the design of our metal spinner plate. The solution is a galvanized metal design that blocks the wind, yet maintains its slick surface over years of cake-free operation.

Programmable digital timer

Quick-Lock

External power port

Answer:	It is metal. the triangle piece is the spinner. I have 3 of these and all 3 have stopped working. I don't recommend this product.

Answer:	I own several Moultrie feeders and have not noticed them not working due to cold temps. As long as the battery is good and the corn is clean & dry, it should work.
Question:	What is the largest size pellet that this unit can throw
Answer:	I mainly run cracked corn in mine so chicken scratch should work well. I hang mine around eight feet high and it probably covers a 30-40 foot diameter circle at that height.

Answer:	There are only specific kinds of feeds that can be used with this product in order not to void the warranty. However, I used the proper feed as stated in the products paperwork and it still doesnt work reliably.

Answer:	More like 3" x 4" x 1". Comaparable to the old Remington timers that a bunch of companies are making now.

I is a direct replacement for feeder kits that are not sealed completely with a plastic housing. If you can't figure it out go to a sporting goods store that has feeders on display and get a visual look on how they are assembled.
