Answer:	Just opened them about 5 mins ago. Yes, there is a slightly "gamey" smell, which I fully expected. As stated in the description these pillows have been vacuum sealed for some time resulting in that "dead goose" smell, however slight, to be concentrated in itself. I suspect a couple days of air along with being encased in both a pillow protector & pillow case it will reduce to an unnoticeable level.
