User questions & answers

Question: What rod models should i pair my avet sx raptor and sxj with
Answer: I have my sxj on the lightest one. I believe it's 7' long and rated for 10-30lb. Feels great and you can use max drag if necessary
Question: Is this carbon fibre
Answer: Yes, it is carbon fiber.
Question: Tvc58xxh, does this have gimbal with removable butt cap
Answer: The Trevala 58XXH does have a gimbal (not metal) and a removable rubber butt cap.
Question: which model would work for my torium 40hg
Answer: I have 5 of these rod with the same size and type of reels. I have three Medium Heavy and two Heavy versions of these rods and I’d suggest trying your Torium 40 on the Medium Heavy rod. These are my go to rods for offshore fishing. It’s still a matter of individual taste but I do not think you will be disappointed.
Question: Is it ok to put a low profile baitcaster reel on this rod
Answer: Hello. This is a great ride and value from Shimano. Watch the rod tip ceramic insert as often times it shakes off during shipping. As for the reel, I have a Shimano Calcutta 700 which is a tad big, but the 400 is too small. I think an Okuma Komodo, Daiwa Lexa, etc would be perfect
Question: Max casting weight 2 oz 3 oz
Answer: 2-6 oz
Question: Can i throw this as a bass rod
Answer: It’s a heavy and thick rod. I think you could use it for flipping heavy cover with jigs in a boat. Anything else I personally think it’s too big but every rod has a purpose.
Question: What is the length of this rod? Product headline says 7'6" while product description lists it as 7ft. Which is it
Answer: 7’6”
