Answer:	You need to hit the "fn" button and the up arrow to turn on the backlit keyboard. The "fn" with the down arrow will turn them off. Once they are on you can scroll through the colors using the "fn" key with the right arrow. hth! :)

Answer:	No it goes back about 135 degrees. I have heard you can flip it over in the cradle and lay it flat on the keyboard but I'm not sure how secure that would be.

Answer:	I weighed mine this morning on my kitchen (food) scale. it weighs almost exactly 1 pound. The iPad Air weighed 1 pound 1 ounce and the combination was 2 pounds 1 ounce.

Answer:	Why yes, there is...the keyboard is identical to my iMac wireless keyboard except it has only one, left-hand, command key and option key and there are keys specific to the functions of the keyboard in their place.

Answer:	Sort of, yes. You will need to pull the iPad from the grippy hinge and place it back inside in a portrait arrangement. Because the edge grips the iPad tightly, pulling the iPad out to turn it is a bit inconvenient. Supposedly, this case was to have a 'reading mode' design which would have allowed the hinge to fold against the back of the keyboard so you could hold the unit vertically in your hand. Unfortunately, the hinge stops at a maximum angle of 135 degrees which prevents this fold-back arrangement. So pulling the iPad out, turning it and shoving it back into the hinge is the only way to manage portrait mode. So, MD's answer is correct if a bit less explanatory.After messing around with this case more, I now understand how the reading mode is supposed to work. But, it's not what you'd expect. You are expected to pull the iPad from the hinge, flip it around so that it faces upward. Magnets pop out of the hinge to hold the keyboard and the iPad together. Albeit, the magnets alone are not as grippy as the hinge, but at least both pieces are functionally together. Not the best design, but it works when you are simply wanting to keep both together.
