User questions & answers
Question: | Is all models both left and right hand retrieve |
Answer: | It’s smaller than I thought. I have a 2021 - 509 Altitude Helmet and visor. It is an extremely TIGHT fit- with NO ROOM to put anything at all in all the zippered pockets. |
Question: | Hi I wondering how many oz for C40? Thanks |
Answer: | The bottom is not bendable. The sides are flexible but have padding and a definite shape. You could probably force it into a backpack, but it would take a lot of space in the pack. And folding up the sides too much wouldn't be good for the helmet bag. It's a great helmet bag, but it's got more structure than a duffel. |
Question: | I have a 9 ft ugly stik rod and i plan on doing catfishing plus saltwater, would the c-55 be good |
Answer: | No sorry. But. You could hook it to the straps on top. |
Question: | How much 12lb mono can it hold |
Answer: | No |

Choosing The Correct Size Ceymar Spinning Reel For Your Fish
The smallest Ceymar in the family, the C-10 is perfect for 2- to 6-pound test fishing line. A great choice for fishing trout, crappie, bluegill, sunfish and small perch where larger gear can easily over power fish. Pair it with an ultra-light fishing rod for a great combination. The C-10 is also a great choice for small ice fishing outfits.
C-30, C-40: Versatile Freshwater Performers
These intermediate sizes suite the vast majority of anglers that fish for bass, walleye, steelhead, carp, catfish and more. The 30 size is more for finesse applications like drop-shotting bass or jigging walleye with 6- to 8-pound line. The 40 size has larger capacity, for bigger lures and fish like steelhead and catfish with 10- to 12-pound line.
C-55: Great For Inshore Saltwater Fishing
The 55-size spinning reel offers a lot of versatility in inshore saltwater environments. Striped bass, snook, redfish, shallow water bottom fish are all in the wheelhouse of this highly capable reel. It will hold roughly 240-yards of 15-pound monofilament line. Many will fish this reel with 20- to 30-pound braided lines.
C-65: Pier, Jetty & Big Water Fishing
At the 65-size, Ceymar reels come equipped with oversized Ergo Grip for exceptional cranking power. It's the reel of choice for bigger water applications where a lot of line capacity is necessary. In saltwater, the C-65 will be great for fishing over reefs or casting long distances from piers and jetties. In freshwater, this reel will often be fished for catfish in big rivers and lakes.
Easy To Own, Wonderful To Fish
The sleek design and smooth performance of Ceymar spinning reels create a fantastic fishing experience for all anglers. Constructed on a fluid 8-bearing drive system and featuring Okuma precision elliptical gearing, Ceymar delivers a full line-up of advanced performance features. A rigid, machined aluminum spool creates a foundation of strength for monofilament and braided fishing lines.
Okuma Fishing Tackle, Inspired Fishing
The heavy-duty solid aluminum bail wire and oversized line roller delivers confident performance over the long term. The rotor system features Okuma RESII computer balancing, so Ceymar spins even at high speed without developing annoying wobble. A forged aluminum handle arm offers complete control over the reel while custom EVA handle knobs are supremely comfortable. Anglers will notice the Blade Body Design. Refined and compact, the Blade Body Design reduces bulk and minimizes overall size of the Ceymar spinning reel, so anglers can focus on the the fish they're catching.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the 4000k for inshore salt water trout and red drum |
Answer: | At the end of the handle nut screw will be a plastic spacer. This part needs to come off with the screw and be moved to the other side. If that part is not removed, then the hexagon shaft will not slide in place on the opposite side of the handle. Remove that plastic spacer and move it to the other side of the reel. |
Question: | Is av4000 good for surf fishing |
Answer: | 8000 |
Question: | the AV3000 will not allow me to switch from left to right? left side has a hexagon male and female end |

Question: | Please tell me what size this reel is, it's not listed for any of them |
Answer: | Works fine with braid |

Avenger Spinning Reel
The key new feature of the 2019 Avenger series is the addition of the CFR technology. The CFR, or Cyclonic Flow Rotor creates a “cyclonic” airflow which significantly increases air flow through the rotor creating a faster drying time if the reel should become wet, minimizing corrosion possibilities throughout the reel.
The Avenger spinning reels feature 7 total ball bearings for the ultimate in smoothness and feature up to 22lbs of drag pressure out of the multi-disc, Japanese oiled felt drag system. The corrosion resistant frame, rotor and handle arm keep the reel lightweight but sturdy, as well as the two toned, machined aluminum spool.

For us at Okuma Fishing Tackle, fishing is a life-long adventure. Collectively, none of us fish as often, catch as many, or are as consistently successful as we would like, and thankfully so. Fishing is not a destination; it's an endless pursuit that begins long before we ever get to the water. The anticipation of the next opportunity is as valuable as the time spent on the water. At Okuma, we craft the tools for the journey. From entry-level through expert, every rod and reel is constructed not only to execute, but also to excite, energize and exhilarate. From feeling the tap, tap, tap of a drift rig searching its way along the bottom of a steelhead stream, to turning a lifeless lead jig into a fleeing bait-fish in the salt, every cast, crank, bobber down and hookup are the rich details of the journey.

Where Trout And Panfish Rule: ABF-20b
Avenger Baitfeeder spinning reels begin at size 20, perfect for baiting trout and panfish on small ponds, lakes and reservoirs. Cast floating trout baits on slip sinkers, fish live minnows under floats for aggressive crappie, this reel is perfect for 4- to 8-pound test line.
General Freshwater: ABF-30b and ABF-40b
Walleye, catfish and bass match well to size 30 and 40 Avenger Baitfeeders. If 8-to-12-pound line is correct for the fishery, these are the proper size reels. The size 40 also crosses over to light inshore applications in saltwater fishing.
When Big Baits Equal Big Fish: ABF-55b and ABF-65b
Large live baits and large predatory fish like pike, musky, striped bass and trophy catfish can require a lot of line capacity on spinning reels. The Avenger Baitfeeder spinning reel in sizes 55 and 65 hold plenty of line for trophy freshwater fish and most saltwater species.
Fishing The Open Ocean- ABF-65b and ABF-80b
You can't be quite sure what will eat your bait in the ocean. It could be a small dolphin fish, it could be a sailfish. In either case, size 65 and 80 Okuma Baitfeeders are the largest spinning reels in the family, ready for fast-moving fish that sprint towards the horizon.
Okuma Baitfeeder Technology
When fishing live baits, chunk baits, worms, insects or dough baits, the best fishing success often comes from allowing fish to secure a solid hold of the bait without feeling the resistance of the fishing rod and gear. This is difficult to accomplish with traditional spinning reels. Okuma Baitfeeding Technology is the ultimate bait fishing solution. Featuring a secondary drag system in the rear of the reel, the Baitfeeder switch completely disengages the primary drag system. With the bail of the reel closed and the line remaining well under control, the Baitfeeder switch allows line to pay out under an adjustable amount of tension. Once the fish has had time to completely eat a bait, a turn of the reel handle disengages the baitfeeder system, re-engages the primary drag system and the fish can be hooked and landed with total control.
