Question:	I’m a little confused about how this reel operates. Can you still use your thumb to control the spool and slow down the lure
Answer:	Yes you can still use your thumb. The difference with this reel is that the magforce braking system is modified so that when the lure slows down less magforce braking is applied thus keeping the trajectory low and lure entry silent. Someone with alot of experience pitching can accomplish this with educated thumb pressure. I am not one of those people so this reel is for me.

Answer:	No, it is about a 150-200 class size baitcasting reel. If I remember correctly I was able to spool it with about 130-150yds of 40lb braid.

Answer:	Couldn't find any info that states that, but I use mine for bay fishing and fully rinse and oil when I'm done. No tools needed to tear it open and maintenance it.

Answer:	I have taken mine to the bay without any issue. Definitely has more than enough drag for any bay fish. I rinse my reels down fully when I'm done. No tools are required to open this reel up, rinse it out and oil up the spool bearings.

Answer:	You sure can, I took it out to the Channel Islands a month ago. Did a fine job of bring in calico bass, barracuda, bonita. As usual with saltwater used items, wash them good. I use a product called SaltAway, it actually dissolves salt on anything. Spray it on,rinse it off after a couple minutes.....done.
Question:	Anybody use this for saltwater applications? I use the toro beast exclusively and im wondering if the SX holds up to the salt as well as the torobeast
Answer:	Yes, For several years now. When done i drop in a sink of water and let sit overnight. Then rinse well. Pull side cover and spool then let crank side drain well.

Answer:	I filled up the spool with one complete package of Sufix 832 braid 20lb, (150 yards). It was perfect- not too much on the spool and none to spare in the pack. Hope this helps.
